This might be my favorite Uncharted Realms story. This is one of the precious few stories in Magic's history that I could say was truly a great read by itself, not just 'good for a Magic story'. Seeing from Avacyn's perspective was fascinating, and getting a look into how she works was very enlightening while also raising more questions. I'm going to read this a few more times.
I agree this story had me shivering at point. I also find it interesting that there used to be a fourth powerpuff angel who seemed to be WB that Avacyn killed.
Also seems the cursemute had fully cured some werewolves (for awhile).
Also find it interesting that only Sigarda had new art in the story, I'm guessing we won't see Bruna or Gisela.

First thing, Avacyn and has gone completely nuts. But I can see how they justify it. They make it sound like she was created to PROTECT but she does not see anything worthy TOO protect, so lets just start over. It is a classic fantasy/horror trope that if no one is worthy, I am going to Remake the world in my image. I think they are doing an excellent job so far with setting up this story.
Second Thing, it is obvious Nahiri is the one that is driving Avacyn mad. Her attitude began to change when she was exposed to those floating hedrons with glyphs on them. That is for sure Nahiri. I do not think that Nahiri is here to make Emrakul arrive on Innistrad. I think she is Here to destroy the one thing that Sorin felt would protect his homeworld and turn her into the thing he was trying to prevent.

This looks like a new Gisela, and this looks like a new Bruna.
Edit: That may not be Gisela. The armor looks a little off to me now that I look at it again.
Ah your are right (about Bruna), her staff with avacyns symbol on it seems to be twisted as well.
I wonder why Sigarda seems to be the one immune to the madness, if anything I'd figured it be Bruna (since she is WU and madness seems to be a red thing for this set).

That was really good! Probably my favourite story since Khanfall, and definitely gets me excited for the rest of the block!
There's so much I liked about it, but my favourite has to be having angelic POVs.
Also, I have a feeling this "dark sister" of Sigarda that made an "alliance with a demon lord" could be the angel Marcyz, the one whose blood was used my Edgar and the demon Shilgengar to create vampires. I hope she is not actually dead and we see more of her, it seems odd to bring her up like that otherwise.

In the first Innstrad GW were the colors that were alligned with humans, and being that the other Angels are trying to wipe out humanity, it should be the angel alligned with Humans to protect them. She Also has hexproof and cannot be sacrificed. Her ability are made to block out attempts of the mind being taken over.

White green is a color combination with strong ties to community. That might be what's keeping her sane.

Cool story, I'm excited to see new versions of these angels, and hopefully a new one for a resurrected BW one. Maybe she joins Sigarda's cause?
The article was quite good! It seems like whatever is causing her madness is tied into the warping of mana on the plane. I mean, her vision gave her flashes of hedrons, and we KNOW from the one land art that Nahiri is on the plane. What exactly is she doing with them I wonder...
Wow, today's story really delivered. Def enjoyed the different viewpoints to let us know both the big characters' actions and how they effect the smaller peoples of the world.
I am stoked to hear that there was a B/W angel to complete the Sigarda, Bruna, and Gisela cycle.
Visualizing this story was fun. Knew I would like this from the beginning with Avacyn just floating in silence and enjoying the isolation before answering a prayer. Kinda reminded me of the Superman scene where he is just chilling up in the air before rushing off.
Damn what a great story. So what ever made Avacyn go mad can affect normal people, though it may have been a side-effect of the madness targeting Avacyn. We also got conformation that Avacyn is 1000 years old, give or take. And a fourth sister smote for associating with 'evil'.
I think there was some sort of corrupting influence affecting everyone's behavior, not just Avacyn. the ill-fated mother noted that something caused her to act not like herself for a brief moment after Avacyn saved her son. A lot of folk have speculated that Emrakul is affecting this plane. It's hard to say without knowing exactly how Emrakul works, but the type of madness these people are experiencing resembles what comes from dealing with Elder Gods. Regardless, something is planting bugs in Avacyn's ear to lead her down this path, and it will be interesting to see who is pulling the string. (Over/Under on how long it takes for somebody to blame Bolas?)
I'm also wondering how the Vamps are going to act once they realize that someone is threatening to kill off all their food. will they take up arms against the angels, or will they go into a feeding frenzy and eat while the eatin' is still good? Avacyn turning on the humans could mean extinction for them, after all...unless they turn their attention to eating werewolves....
So it looks like there's definitely something in the moon whispering to Avacyn. If the moon is made of silver and the Helvault was a moonstone used for trapping demons, maybe there's something in that Eldritch Moon? Maybe Nahiri is reconfiguring the cryptoliths/leylines to unleash it?

Thats been my thoughts too (thought I don't think its Emrakul). This explains why the vampires are losing control over their blood crazes and the flavor of madness and delirium mechanics, which are appearing on almost every "faction" on Innistrad (Demons, angels, geists, humans ect.
EDIT: I'm also thinking Avacyn madness isn't the endgame of whoever the big bad in this story, just a side effect.

Yeah, it's definitely Nahiri that caused Avacyn's madness. Maybe that was the point, though. Driving Avacyn into killing all the humans which would in turn lead to the eventual demise of the vampires as well. Not to mention I doubt Avacyn's crusade would stop at killing humans. She basically wants to kill everything other than maybe normal animals. Sending Avacyn on a rampage seems like fitting retribution (although we're still not completely sure what for). Although she obviously went on her own little rampage at Markov Manor based on artwork. She seems to be using the manaliths she's creating to channel whatever spell is causing Avacyn's madness. Perhaps their purpose is just to channel and amplify her magic. Trying to destroy a whole plane ain't easy post-mending after all.
I assume her endgame is a spell that alters the moon in some (terrifying) fashion. Maybe using the moon as an amplifier for some terrible spell, altering it in a fashion that causes the beasties of Innistrad to be even more beastly than usual (seems most likely), or maybe she'll just pull a good old fashion Majora's Mask (doubtful, but I would be amused by it).
Could the Moonsilver flight (Reaper of Flight Moonsilver) be that of the unknown sister that was killed by Avacyn? Could they have been hiding all this time somewhere on Innistrad?

Yeah that one. Idk, a lot darker than her original. Same artist too, so it seems to contrast. But you could be right.
