Drop of Honey's art also looks a bit wasplike. Maybe other Planes only have wasps. On the other hand, bees and wasps are probably at least as genetically similar as Moggs to Boggarts to Mercadian Goblins, so I'm not sure if that's a meaningful distinction...
Really, just read all three of the Onslaught novels, they're all pretty crazy. You probably will be happy you did.
SPOILERS: I was not. Still better than Prophecy, though.
Ezuri doesn't use Black magic. It's impressive, really - in his first incarnation, he was sabotaging the lives of literally everyone in the world to hold on to personal power. That'san almost word-for-word definition of Black's core ideals, but nope, mono-Green.Then, he got taken over by the Phyrexians - yet his dedication to being non-Black was so great, he became literally the first Legend ever to join a villainous faction and colorshift to a non-Black color. That is some dedication.
Dominaria also seems to have more Bears per capita than other planes we've seen (12 Bears+ 1 Werebear, plus 5 Bear making cards). Tarkir is second (2 Bears, 1 Bear maker). Of all the other places I'd expect bears, Zendikar is certainly on the low end. Well, okay, I wouldn't expect bears on Grixis...

The Kor thing sounds like a legitimate funerary practice for a bunch of nomads, to me. But you're not wrong about Sorin. In fact, this really deserves its own thread, its own wiki page, and possibly its own website - the Grand List Of Things Sorin Hasn't Done:
Sorin didn't prevent the Eldrazi from being awakened at the Eye of Ugin.
Sorin didn't reach the Eye of Ugin without three local guides. At least two of them had been there before.
Sorin didn't reseal the Eldrazi upon reaching the Eye.
Sorin didn't prevent the Eldrazi from being unbound to Zendikar.
Sorin didn't take revenge on his Evil Uncle, despite millennia as a pre-Mending Planeswalker.
Sorin didn't free Avacyn from the Helvault.
Sorin didn't have an actual fight with the worst Planeswalker ever.
Sorin didn't keep Liliana from killing a bunch of angels on her way out.
Sorin didn't contribute the knowledge, means, or location when the Three bound the Eldrazi.
Sorin didn't even do his part of The Three's plan without the "help" of local vampires.
Sorin didn't use his angel-crafting expertise to fix the "can't fight Eldrazi" weakness of Zendikari angels.
Sorin didn't come to Nahiri's aid one thousand years ago.
Sorin didn't come to Ugin's aid three hundred years before that.
Sorin didn't notice when Ugin went missing.
Sorin didn't - in any timeline - find a giant glowy leyline-disrupting corpse without still more local guides.
Sorin didn't come up with a plan to stop the Eldrazi without Ugin there.
Sorin didn't think to go find the creator of the Hedrons without Ugin to push him.
Sorin didn't help in the Battle for Zendikar.
Sorin didn't prevent whatever crisis initiates Shadows Over Innistrad.
Sorin didn't have the "long term self-interest" to get involved against the Phyrexians during Invasion, the time rifts of Time Spiral, or any other Multiverse-threatening events which in theory are what he's most concerned about.
Sorin didn't perfect his goulash recipe despite 7,000 years of practice.
I actually think the only thing he did do is beat up Dack Fayden that one time. So... yay?
We also all hope he did not make Nahiri into Avacyn.
My artbook finally arrived, one thing made me laugh somehow, from the 6 races, 3 have some kind of beard on males. The kor males had their barbel like beards from the beginning, some male merfolk from the first zendikar also had some kind of fin beards, but the "new" goblin males also got some sort of beard. Now comes the part that got me laughing, none of the three has the option to shave themselves
Goblins have some kind of rock or hard skin beard, kor barbels and the merfolk fin beard are also some sort of skin extension, poor guys and strange zendikar.

Bees aren't the only insects that make honey, though they're by far the most common and prolific, some wasps also do so.
Touché, but I doubt that any culture that has an extra word for honey only knows it from animals that produce negligible amounts.
Plus, although it's a fantasy setting, using the "everything is possible" approach basically nullifies literally every single argument or point and renders every piece of flavour text into an ambigious mess.
First off, the flavour text of Hornet Harasser implies that the boggart confused hornets with something that produces honey and thus didn't get the honey but something (unexpectedly) better. This in turn implies there are bees on Lorwyn, or at least non-hornet honey producing animals that kind of look like hornets.
We also all hope he did not make Nahiri into Avacyn.
Regardless of how, I did consider mentioning that he made Avacyn - but creating an overpowered angel to solve all your problems for you is the laziest act of Pre-Mending power ever.
New headcanon: Avacyn's creation went down EXACTLY like Weird Science.
This one isn't so "silly" but I love it nevertheless...
Jodah erases part of his memory ever hundred or so years because of the pain of the memories of everyone he loves that has passed away during that time period. Superheroes have feelings too dammit!

He actually not only erases them, he takes them out of his head and re-inserts them in such a way that they don't have an emotional connection. This process apparently involves a magical mirror, until Freyalize trolled him and screwed with it. Then Jaya Ballard apparently used the Old-walker powers to permanently alter Jodah's mind to do it automatically.
Also he accidentally took a swim in the fountain of youth while avoiding goblins.
Actually, the student uniforms from pre-timesplosion Tolaria had a hatch for easy toilet trips. Once Teferi got freed from the slow time rift in post-timesplosion Tolaria he walked around in his old uniforms for a while. When he demonstrates that function several students actually check their own to see if Urza maintained that particular design feature after rebuilding the academy.
IIRC, there was a mention in the Guildpact novels about djinn being forced to labor "in the polar water stations - a badly kept secret". Sounds a lot like there are glaciers.

Zendikar has Sejiri, a continent similar to Antarctica. With Wastes now being a basic land type, they'll likely want to get a snow version soon. Recently an artist did post a snow island to twitter or somesuch. In the Innistrad trailer for April, we see what looks like snow falling, though many believe it's feathers.
Possible we see snow land (and thus snow wastes) this April or Fall.

There is absolutely no room for Snow permanents in a block whose basis is Gothic horror. Could you do it? sure.
But they won't nor should they.
Snowy landscapes as an asthetic is fine for Innistrad. Snow mechanics/main theme is not.
However maybe we'll get a real snow/winter-themed block in the one after innistrad. The Fall Block as you said.
I still want Underground-world but that's a topic for a diff. thread.

To get really really technical, honeydew has nothing to do with honey though.

Favorite flavor text of absurdity - no one in the history of Grixis has ever died of old age.
