I'm wondering about these oaths to the multiverse as whole the characters have made. Could they be setting up for the next threat to the multiverse, the phyexians, or possibly Bolas?
Will we have other PWs joining them and getting their own oaths?
This is also curious in the context that MTG movies are in the works. I would think that BFZ and OGW could be the first movie leaving an attack on New Phyrexia open for the next movie.
It has been confirmed that membership is open and new recruits will get oath cards as they come.
I briefly decide to indulge the bad fanfic Wizards calls story, only to be whacked in the face with a tire iron. So many logic holes, inconsistencies, and garbage. If the Eldrazi are big fat monsters of nothingness that exist in a space a chaos that destroys everything, and these monsters eat existence and are hungry enough to eat planes casually, then how on earth does throwing mana at them hurt them? Better question, if you impose an all consuming fire in a flood of it's own fuel, it won't be smothered; it's all consuming! All!
Secondly, one titan distorts all non-living things and last I checked mana was not living so imposing a particular leyline on it should be impossible. Supposing it is living (somehow) it's still the very thing the Eldrazi are supposed to be eating > the life-force of the plane. Plus this one now has holes in space (HOLES IN EFFING SPACE!) that follow it around, and last I checked, voids exist to be filled, so holes that big should be removing all matter from the plane at high speed. Your other titan is literally all consuming, it's supposed to instantly process anything that is remotely close. Trivia time: what happens when you throw, say, tissue paper at the sun? Answer: it freaking burns! How on earth does someone find enough energy to outpace the titan that eats entire planes of existence without issue on a plane that is half eaten already? That just doesn't make sense.
Lastly, since when do planes of existence only have one planet? That's not right is it? How the hell do they even know that that's the entire plane eating monstrosity? A universe is pretty big, and seeing as it's only taken a little while to half eat it, I would imagine somewhere in the space surrounding their sad little planet there's something bigger eating that universe.
For crying out loud, they exist a land of death, doom, destruction, and destiny, with conditions, and mana, so harsh not even planeswalkers can spend much time there; they ought to be able to handle however much mana a far more survivable place can supply. I hate this kind of story writing.
Oh, and as an afterthought, if Nissa is supposed to be getting her power from the plane then she should be getting weaker with it's consumption, not stronger.

Oh, and as an afterthought, if Nissa is supposed to be getting her power from the plane then she should be getting weaker with it's consumption, not stronger.
So to start you're saying you completely don't understand what they are doing and the way you think it is being done doesn't make sense. That's fine because that's not what is happening. The cards showed them using fire to kill the titans but the Story isn't that far, the Story said explicitly not to use fire so we don't know how they get to that part. You complain because they shouldn't be able to throw enough mana at them to do anything, well guess what the Story doesn't say they are throwing mana at them they are literally doing the opposite. They plan on diffusing the Eldrazis through the leylines of the plane. Should this work? Maybe, maybe not. Though they are specifically not doing what you are complaining about, they might later so complain then not now.
Some planes are 'just' planets, not all of them have entire universes or even solar systems. And they've been at this for years and have devoured somewhere along the lines of half the plane so looking at it that way it is taking them a long time to eat this plane. It has a lot left.
As for living the in blind eternities, where matter and thought find it hard to exist, doesn't make them especially resilient it makes them immune to these effects. So we can't really expect that to matter too much when not in the blind eternities.
Nissa's entire story is about her slowly learning how to wield the power of Zendikar, she should be getting better and better until Zendikar dies.
Kozilek distorts space, however he only distorts it not destroys it, so all you have to do to capture it is account for the distortion or over power it which ever they want to go with. While those void shards around him sound really cool we don't know what they do or how they function, do the work like black holes, always pulling in everything around them. Or are they 'simply' holes that are empty but not trying to fill themselves.
I fully admit that I was in a bad mood when I wrote that, and that it was largely a vent of built-up frustrations. I'm having to type this a second time (damn you, technology!) so forgive me if some points are a bit less well written. The story has outlined the plan and the cards have illustrated the result. Jace only says not to use fire until they've bound the Eldrazi. Leylines are the plane's mana veins, so imposing them on the Eldrazi is throwing a large amount of mana at them. We know this plane has at least a sun if nothing else. I was speaking of astronomical time where even 1000000 years is quite brief. My understanding was that the Eldrazi can't leave the blind eternities because they're no planeswalkers. They merely "touch", if you will, a plane, and what the inhabitants see is akin to what a diver might see of something on the water's surface. Given their non-planetary sizes, and the fact they appear to require contact, or at least close proximity to exert their power, it would take some time to consume a star. Not to mention, the inherent proximity means that they would have to be able to withstand the results of nuclear fusion; that's pretty damn tough. Nissa is learning to use Zendikar's power, the Eldrazi are (relatively) rapidly consuming the plane's power; the power's she's tapping should be getting weaker. Kozilek distorts space in what must be a random fashion, otherwise it wouldn't be too difficult to make anything to deal with it. Truly random interference can't be adjusted for. If they could just overpower the effect, this would be an even sillier battle. The holes in space are at least absorbing light in an omnidirectional fashion. While no one says our idea of physics has to work in another universe, they would have difficulty breathing if the concept of matter moving to fill a void didn't apply. If nothing else, all gases on the planet should moving to fill the holes in space.
I don't mean to come across aggressively, nor do I wish to get into a drawn out argument. You posed perfectly reasonable questions to my complaints, I am merely answering them to the best of my abilities.
A lot of my concerns come from fear of future developments.

I haven't read the novels but i've read summaries and to me it seems like the lore for the neo walkers is terrible compared to the old walkers. The neo walkers are far weaker than old walkers but they can do anything if they work as a team of 4 instead of 3. The villain can't kill them because they rather torture them. And the heroes won't kill the villians unless they were some huge monstrosity that is threatening to destroy a plane. This kind of story has been done over and over again. so boring.
I just like how where the old 'walkers are collectively doing something that will benefit the greater good, they're as likely to face threats from within as they are from without. See Tevesh Szat and Urza in Invasion novels.

This is one of the greatest and most F****ed up moments in old lore. You invite this murderous psychopath onto you're team knowing full well that he is going to kill one or more of your comrades just so that you have a clear conscious when you kill him in a horribly painful way to harvest his essence and turn it into a bomb, except it wouldn't have bothered you at all you just had to make sure the rest of your team didn't turn rogue when you harvested one of them.
We will never see anything like this in new lore and while that makes me sad, I still appreciate that they are taking the route they will please the most people because that means more and more people will be interested in the lore and if that happens it should get better. Because the main reasons we are getting less and less story, quantity and quality, is because the majority of people don't care. If they start to care we may even get books back someday.

I haven't read the old stories but I'm pretty sure Urza knew what he was getting into by bringing Szat into the titans.
I guess it can't be called spoilers anymore but since I'm compelled to understand more about the nature of the Titans I will revive the topic:)
" Motion in the sky drew Kiora's attention. Around the mighty titans, the sky bulged and folded like a brewing storm. But this was not a thunderstorm—this was something else. The color of the heavens twisted from hazy blue to boiling magentas and greens. The sunlight wavered, overshadowed by a spreading, rippling, polyp-like texture. And to Kiora's shock, she saw what was happening to the titans—
Bending, distorting, stretching.
Their heads inflated and curved into elongated necks that rainbowed across the sky.
Their faces widened, curved concave, and unfolded to the horizon and back again.
And then it began raining Eldrazi.
This is new, thought Chandra.
The sky of Zendikar had become the titans. Their forms had enveloped everything, a dome of bruise-colored flesh and bone sheets and void-edged shards. Rather than the titans being pulled into Zendikar, it felt as if Zendikar were now inside the titans—or that, somehow, dimensionality had inverted, and now the outside of their enormous bodies was in every direction Chandra could see."
You got admit it, this is so F**nig cool!
Personally I think if you anchored THE Ulamog and Kozilek onto the plane, their bodies will each take up at least half of Zendikar's size and crush the plane from their sheer existence brought into reality.
Yatsufusa was right about the Titans size, they really were plane sized creatures and the cards were deceptive.
Size doesn't really mean much when you're talking about an extra dimension. The Eldrazi's true forms had length, width, breath and another unnamed measurement all trying to cram into a form or reality in which the fourth of those doesn't exist. So talking about their size is kinda pointless.
Techinically there is no mention of they having an extra dimension, they came from the Blind Eternities and that's it. But I guess you could consider it to be an extradimension.
That said, this explain why they are plane sized! And the cards don't really depict "a dome of bruise-colored flesh and bone sheets and void-edged shards.". But I don't think WoC takes the lore very seriously to care for that.
Up to a point in the lore Eldrazis were suppose to be impossible to comprehend, like it was even hard to call what they do 'thinking', however in SoI Jace had a date with Emrakul. It shouldn't be possible....
