As for the reference to Liliana, that's someone's or something's mental influence attempting to deflect Jace from investigating the truth further:
"No, a dull, buzzing voice reverberated through his mind. Stop asking. Too many unanswered questions. You don't need the book and its bottomless well of mysteries. They'll drown you. Jace shoved the book away into his robes. You've come this far. You know the answer. Stop searching."
The buzzing sound and the general tone makes me think this is specifically the same being that messed with Avacyn doing the same to Jace - sending him after the red herring of Liliana.
Yeah, I've noticed the buzzing drone before and am definitely curious to see it addressed. Is it something new, or will they reveal that Emrakul had intelligence all along.

I mean... Is there any reason to assume Eldrazi Titans are not capable of "intelligence"? We had the Blight We Were Born For for everyone to see, and the artbook describes the Eldrazi as choosing planes to devour based on some sort of "arcane, inscrutable intelligence".

They didn't care that he was the savior of Fort Keff, the great hunter of Ondu, the champion of Kabira. To them, he was just another piece of flesh, a thing with life to be drained away.
I know it's probably Emy or some new evil, but, from Avacyn's UR "Great Work" and the impure babbling and from the mad prophet's "transcendancy", I smell Phyrexians. Phyrexians on the moon would be awesome. Still, prolly Emy
I'm on the phyrexian moon theory, but the chain veil would be cool. Great work can be apply for the Onakke since the Veil was created for their return.
But I cant see how "mutating" the biology would help their resurrection.
This 'theory' (more like a half-assed hypothesis) has been addressed countless times. It's not Phyrexia.
My current theory, bass on this weeks article: Nahiri is drawing in Emrakul to trap in Innistrads moon. Angel madness is a side effect, possibly worsened by Liliana who is taking advantage to get rid of the Angels.
Or, she's planning on encasing Emrakul in stone again, resulting in a second 'Eldritch' moon.
While Liliana does have access to mind magic, it's completely outside of her scope. Plus, the fact that it's strongly associated with Red mana, that it conincides with a corruption of metal and that Avacyn saw the liths or hedrons clearly suggests that it was done by Nahiri.

My bad. Let me rephrase what I wanted to say. I would like if it was Pheryxian.

I had a feeling this would come up; I meant more of an intelligence we can relate to, being mortals and 3-D beings and all. Emrakul actually speaking to, or through, living things would give us more insight into its mindset than 'Emrakul is doing this simply because it's Emrakul's wont to do so,' incomprehensibility that we've been given over and over. I would def like it if EM got more of what they did with Kozilek and we get glimpses every so often of what's going on in its mind.
some of you will say eldrazi again is lazy, I would tell you to shove it, because this story is an epic reference to someone whose stories have already inspired a lot of magic's essence. I can't be the only one who appreciates such great allusions and flavor, can I?
If this *is* to be another Eldrazi story, I'm just going to say this is Eldrazi done right. I agree, mouth of gix, this is a great homage so far. In fact, I just wish BFZ/OGW had never happened. Then we'd all have been thrilled with how they've handled them this time round. Maybe I'll hold these the way I do the Matrix - 'The Matrix' happened; 'Reloaded' and 'Revolutions' are a lie.
Exactly. For me, it's not "Meh, more Eldrazi," it's "YES!!! Eldrazi, finally done right!" If this is really Emrakul, and that seem more likely now then ever, it means the Eldrazi are finally being used to their full capacity as Eldritch Horrors. Oh man, I'm practically drooling with anticipation.

I agree with everything said here, it really does seem like all the clues are pointing to Emrakul/Eldrazi and I'm ok w/ that since they are (thus far) handling it so well! I feel like WOTC kind of backed themselves into a corner w/ ROE back in the day. They left themselves an impossible situation of destroying one of their most popular planes or getting rid of three highly-billed villains. And if all three titans had gone loose than they would have been showing up in multiple storylines seemingly every whichway since they feed separately. Ultimately I think WOTC handled this the best they could. They had a decent storyline, retained Zendikar, offed the sidekicks (Ula and Koz) and now the marquee titan Emrakul can be what the eldrazi always should have been, a corrupting Lovecraftian Presence that sits on the recurring villain bench w/ Bolas and Phyrexia.
I'm still hoping for Marit Lage though. One day...</3

If the eldrazi are done well, it will be just as good a marit lage. Who knows, maybe we can dismiss BFZ as an abberation that occurred when they tried to take a set off of the story last minute.
It's totally okay that this is Em. Don't wanna speak for anyone else, but I'm assuming the reason they don't want it to be Emrakul is because we were just served a heaping portion of wannabe-eldritch horror in BFZ. Bad taste in the mouth, etc.
Who knows how long Nahiri's been on Innistrad, clearly the madness has dug deep into her. Two tastes in and Jace is already set to accuse Liliana for all of this. It'll be interesting to see the confrontation between Sorin and Nahiri, if he at all buys "I wasn't in my right mind!" We already know he's forced to end Avacyn due to Nahiri's (indirect?) machinations.
Playing through the campaign on Magic Duels, Tamiyo is 100% alive and not an a delusion. Jace meets her in the great cathedral in Thraben, where they are confronted by Avacyn and the event on Avacyn's Judgment occurs. Also confirmation that Tamiyo is experiencing the madness and delirium afflicting Jace in his own investigations. Tamiyo also has a new mugshot that appears with Jace, and his deck (previously a kind of mono-blue madness flyer deck) takes on white and green. Take that as you will. Could just be them making that Bant clues deck that suits the pair. The game just ends on the scene of Avacyn's Judgment with nothing else told, literally a cliffhanger. Not necessarily how the Uncharted Realms ends for SOI since it's pretty abrupt. It doesn't even get to Anguished Unmaking.
The long and short of it is pretty much nothing we don't know about yet.

You seem to have missed the 6th encounter (which only appears after you complete the 5th), in which you play as Sorin and fight Avacyn. It concludes with Sorin destroying her.

I really liked the story, Jace's Madness (should totally be a card in EM, btw) is being portrayed really well.
I'm less convinced that Emrakul is the only thing going on, I really am starting to think that there are multiple forces at work.
Why havn't we looked into the Onnakke angle more thoroughly? We know that the Chain Veil is on Innistrad, it's only logical to assume that it is not doing nothing.

Yeah, I thought that the addition of green and white was an interesting development. Makes me think that Tamiyo won't be mono-U when she shows up. Will she be Bant? Doesn't seem likely, but I wouldn't be surprised if she was GU, especially after today's Uncharted Realms Magic Story.
I'd love a UG Tamiyo, perhaps she has a natural respect for the kami of her home plane? And feels that she wants to learn about the world but knows her natural place in it? It would certainly be another avenue of the UG color combination that Kiora's character does not explore, and it would let her team up with Narset to be the Bant Study Buddies

The magic duels SOI story outline was quite interesting. For me especially the part in Nephalia seemed really mysterious. Zombies working on that cryptolith circle. Wonder if it's the ghoul caller or stitcher plotting something.
Also, Nahiri wasn't mentioned with a single word. The big showdown with Sorin will probably going to be in the eldritch moon part.
My dreams of Marit Lage's return are all but crushed.
It's been pointing to Emrakul for a long time. I really would like to see Marit Lage come back, but since she and Emrakul are in a similar creative space I wonder if it will hurt the chances of that happening.
I hated this story for a simple reason: Liliana seems to be trying to get rid of Avacyn.
It is a good idea, I agree, BUT what I can't stand about is that as the member of the origin 5,
Liliana essentially gets a free pass and she won't be killed even though the ***** deserves to
be devoured by her own zombies.
It's heavily, heavily implied that it's not Liliana's fault through the fact that Jace gets distracted from further investigating by jumping to the conclusion that it's Liliana under his madness, and Liliana's Indignation further confirms it. We still have literally no clue how Liliana's going to be involved in the story, and it's likely that she basically won't in any major capacity until Eldritch Moon.
And I am really hoping that she isn't. I really am
I could be reading incorrectly, english is not my native language and this chapter was quite hard for the to understand what is going on.
Did Jace meet Tamiyo or not? Did he talk to Liliana or not? I got the idea that he talked to them but then again it seems like he didn't.
I'm confused...
The majority of the characters Jace met this week were hallucinations.

From what I've read, the Onakke were just genius ogres, so I'm not sure about them being a resurrected Big Bad. But the mention of them got me thinking.
Before our first trip to Zendikar, no one knew that anything more powerful or dangerous than the threats we already knew of existed. Enter the Eldrazi, and suddenly the multiverse seems like an awfully big and unknown place.
I paged through Lovecraft stuff in the past months, and I remember, in Mountains of Madness I think it was called, we learn about a kind of conflict or war between two completely different ineffable, incomprehensible, unknowable groups throughout the universe. The Big Bads of Lovecraft seem to fall in here or there in that conflict. This is generally speaking, from what I've gathered.
I've noticed a lot of cues from Lovecraft in SOI, as have we all. But I think there are enough distinctions to separate the weirdness and madness from Emrakul, based on what we know from other information sources about Emrakul. Taken alone, the Eldrazi, like one side of Lovecraft's universe conflict, can be understood as "weird and incomprehensible? Must be Eldrazi." But until we were introduced to the Eldrazi, we didn't know how weird things could get.
My prediction is that Wizards is going to pull the rug out from under us. Without an understanding of a possible *other side*, for lack of a better word, we can chalk up a lot to Eldrazi/Emrakul. Until Wizards decides to fill us in on that *other side.* Then, I suspect, things will make a lot more sense, and get a lot stranger. Maybe it will go to the dangers of killing the Eldrazi. Maybe they were keeping this *other side* in check, like white blood cells or something. They might not be as big or bad as the Eldrazi, but they could be more numerous, and maybe Nahiri rang the bell.
I just feel that the buzzing, the madness, the weird cancerous growths (that appear malignant and pointless, not grooming toward a final form), the focus on the sea and the moon, the focus on drawing something in, Stromkirk and 'old gods', not knowing from whence came Marit Lage back in the day and if she is one of many, *could* indicate Eldrazi, but *could* better apply to another *side* much better, once we know what it is.
