So who are some of the cooler guys who never got to have cards? Non-planeswalkers especially. There are a lot of people heavily quoted or referred to in flavor texts that you never get to see.

Also, I'd love to see cards representing the Song of All and the Love Song of Night and Day.

Quote from "William Lyon Mackenzie King" »
There are few men in this Parliament for whom I have greater respect than the leader of the Co-operative Commonwealth Federation. I admire him in my heart, because time and again he has had the courage to say what lays on his conscience, regardless of what the world might think of him. A man of that calibre is an ornament to any Parliament.

There are quite a few from relatively recent MTG sets I would love to see. Arixmethes the Lost City (a legendary kraken with a city built on its back that is basically to Thassa what Polukranos was to Nylea). I believe he appears on the new art for Temple of the False god. Callaphe the mariner from Theros who is quoted on Cloaked Siren and Benthic Giant, and is also in the Godsend story with Arixmethes. She's neat as she faces off in the myths against Thassa similar to Athena vs. Arachnae in the Greek myth, but with sailing.
From Kamigawa I was surprised Choryu the Minamo water wizard didn't receive a card while so many characters from the book had. He actually played a respectable role in the story for a while.
The last one, Jenrik, only appeared in the Innistrad style guide as a fabled astronomer who researches Innistrad's moon with Tamiyo. He appears on Tower Geist's flavor text and is alluded to in other flavor text, but sadly it seems like Lunar Mystic may be the generic stand-in for him unless he eventually gets a card himself. Since seeing Tamiyo again may not even occur anytime soon. he's probably the least of the ones I mentioned to get a card but I'm alright with that. The Theros characters are my favorite.
Afari. I'm working since a few weeks on a Commander deck that actually tells a story to build my first deck of that format ever, and I'd loved to have a Legendary creature that would actually be a storyteller.
They did both Urza and Massacre girl already, though not directly named, nor are they legendary, there are cards that Wizards has stated are the characters, they just aren't named as so, so it is assumed.

Are you referring to Thrill-Kill Assassin? 'Cause the flavor text really indicates that Thrill Kill is an imitator.
Also, another one I've never seen mentioned in any of these threads is Talara Many-Tined, badass lady elf from Shadowmoor.

Yawgmoth himself. The best Big Bad that ever was. Except I'm afraid that a card would never do him justice. Similar to Urza, except I think Yawgmoth was a splendidly crafted villain.
Yeah, Urza had Blind Seer... I even have one in my binder, but let's be honest, that's not really "Urza" Urza.
Also, I wish that Karona had a card printed. I mean, how awesome was she? The evil, unstoppable Phage fused with my main lady Akroma, and Zagorka (who also never got a card and was pretty BA herself). I mean, the possibilities to make an amazing, unstoppable creature was endless, but they never printed one, much to my despair.
Skellum needs a card to. He was a major character and mentor of Chainer. He fought using a silly hat. a silly hat. He introduced himself with:''My name is Skellum, and I wear a silly hat.'' Let that sink in for a moment.
Gix, the original praetor, also needs a card because of his storyline importance.

For me, I feel like Pivlic from the original Ravnica books didn't get enough love. He was an awesome character in the books, and having a Legendary Imp creature would be pretty cool. Plus, I've been doing some research and Ravnica timeline shenanigans, and learned that Pivlic has to be over 50 years old, which I find fascinating considering the Imp lifespan isn't really something that is confirmed.
Frost doesn't Ugin qualify as a Dragon King for all colors? He transended colors and he spawns hoards of dragons (of all colors) where ever he goes.
The Colors of Magic was an anthology book of short stories, one of them dealt with a specific dragon who reigned over a kingdom. He fought alongside his people and then died at the end of the story. Ugin is a fun character, but we're talking about a very different character. Understand, it's also been roughly at least fifteen years since I read that story.

Life is a beautiful engineer, yet a brutal scientist.
I always wanted a playable Lim-Dul in Grixis colours. He is such a cool character but is card is terrible and mono-black with a lot of his cards are spread across UBR. Hopefully we get a new version of him in Raven Man.

They'll never do it, but I'd love to see a reprise of Freyalise in either gruul or naya colors.
