I was wondering if there is more information on the planes/settings of MTG somewhere on the web? You have a info thread pinned but it only has a small amount of info on each plane. This is true for all Magic Wikis as well. I understand the books probably have more info on each setting they are set (I need to start reading them again I stopped halfway through the first book), but surely Wizards must write a huge info bible when they create a new plane with lots of info on the geography, creatures, organizations, events, the way things look etc so that designers and artists have something to work off. Why isn't this info made public? And if it is, where can I find it?
I believe it isn't made public for the same reason that show bibles aren't usually made public: They provide all of the information through the product itself.
Or at least, they think they supply enough, and the rest should be kept secret for potential returns to the plane.
They continue to publish the "Planeswalker's Guide to..." various newer planes, which provide a fair amount in regards to those worlds, and those are available on the mothership.
The last time they tried to do a public release was the Planeswalkers Guide to Alara, which did not sell very well, much like their other book attempts.
