Didn't Elspeth also Planeswalk to Bant on her first go and become a knight? Seems like a popular place for White Walkers (ha, White Walkers). I think Ajani bounced there too, but maybe it wasn't his first go.
I knew Gideon was from Theros, you can tell by looking at the trailer for Duels 2012, when Gideon says "I was born on a world long since destroyed" the art is the same as part of the JOU trailer with Elspeth.

We know Elspeth visited Theros and Dominaria before finding Bant. Something says me Theros was the first plane she visited, but I can't confirm it.

Except that, you know, Theros hasn't been destroyed.

Ajani went to Jund first.
Elspeth's first planeswalk was to Theros, as was discussed in the Godsend first chapter when Daxos was alone in the woods after his mother was taken by Athreos. She was something like 10 years old and didn't know where she was, and before Daxos can really talk, Purphoros and Heliod have a catfight above them, Purphoros drops his sword, Elspeth picks it up, and then her spark takes her back to her homeworld.
And yeah, Ajani has been to Theros before, as seen in his card-reveal Uncharted Realms where it talks about him going around planes to find the leonin tribes that reside there and make friends. I guess because his personality is rather fatherly and wise and so when he finds the leonin of a plane, he usually befriends them and becomes something of a wandering mentor to them. But his first planeswalk was to Jund.

Before you know it they'll release a Word of God statement where they tell that Neowalkers' first planeswalk location ties to the color they're majorly affiliated with essence wise.
Kinda like how they Word of God' the "phenomena" of the current neowalker roster easily bumping into each other for some reason.

Right now I'm kind of suspicious that the White and Green planeswalkers homeworl in Origins so far, matches up with the Souls cycle. Only I don't think Jace was from Ravnica, but I do know he stays there often, even before he became their Guildpact. I guess there are also the planes they first went to. I hope there's a secret sixth walker from Mirroden.
I am excited we're diving more into our actual cast of characters. The legends and locations from the blocks are always a treat but it is the Planeswalkers of the block who's story we really care about.

The first item you bring up is called 'good writing' where aspects of a character are defined by their experiences. Some of them (Gideon) will be positive experiences, while others (Chandra) will be built on negative experiences.
The second item is 'actually maintaining your cast instead of inventing characters to fill voids and then ignoring them forever. Like Tybalt. When you're roster of characters keeps expanding you need to keep using the characters you make important instead of ignoring them. Which means a little bit of contrived coincidence when your field to work in is, for all practical applications, infinite.

Strong themework is a pretty positive writing tool, usually. So the planes meshing to the walkers isn't too much of a surprise. But we can be absolutely sure the red walker isn't from Shandalar (Chandra is from a new plane), and we can be mostly sure Jace isn't actually from Ravnica. Lilli probably isn't from Innistrad either, but we do know she's connected to it due to one of her demon deals being with a 'strad Demon. So we might see Ravnica and Innistrad as the first walks for their respective colors.
So I was reading more about this on Reddit and I really like the idea proposed there about Gideon never knowing his father and possibly being the son of Heliod, like Hercules was of Zeus in a way, since he is holding a spear like his in the new art. It might explain his powers, since doesn't Gideon have some kind of immunity to physical force or something? IDK. It would be pretty interesting nonetheless.

The gods, as we know them, don't function that way. If Gideon had been created by any of the gods, he would be a Nyxborn, but quite frankly, we have no reason to believe the gods are even capable of normal reproduction.

I know. It's just speculation. It would be very Greek if true, and newt if the heroic son of Heliod and a human, although not a god, was a PW. We'll have to wait and see but I admire the prospect alone if nothing else.

At first, I thought it strange for Gideon's previous name to be Kytheon, then while reading the early posts in this topic it hit me: Kytheon Iora must be pronounced "KITH-ee-yun e-YOR-ah", not "KAI-the-yon I-yor-a", meaning his Theros name does in fact sound similar to Gideon Jura or "GID-ee-yun YUR-ah" as the J in "Jura" is pronounced like a Y. Now it's clearly a reasonable phonetic mutation.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
Jace is not from Ravnica, his home plane is unknown.
Jenrik, you mean Vronos? He was an inquisitor from Innistrad.
Yeah I know Vronos is from Innistrad. I was talking about how I think the Order of Heliud may end up being related to Heliod or inspired by him in some way considering even Gideon's name across planes was sort of changed but still recognizable so why not Heliod? It'll be interesting to see what becomes of that if anything.
We sort of did get that with the M15 stories she Garuuk killed the cryomancer PW from the unnamed icy plane. They just avoided naming it, and rightfully so IMO.
This indicates otherwise.
As for the order I'm going to err on the side of the two not being related. However I could see it being a thing. Gideon's mentor was a walker or something like that right?

Was Vronos the cryomancer PW told from Garuuk's perspective? I thought it had been a different, unnamed PW from an icy plane we hadn't seen yet.
