So, why she tried to/"stole" krakens, leviathans and stuff "from Thassa" instead of just "petting" them for a while and then getting out with the capacity of summoning Thero's monsters?
What evidence do you have to be able to claim that this is about Ugin's influence on Tarkir? I've seen none. Everything I've seen coming out is leading to Ugin being resurrected so that he can help stop the Eldrazi. Yes Sarkhan has no goals concerning the Eldrazi. Unless you account for the fact that everything he's doing is at the behest of Ugin's spirit which IS concerned with the Eldrazi. Essentially Ugin's goals ARE Sarkhans goals, not because they both happen to align, but because Ugin is putting his goals directly into Sarkhan's mind.
The story of Tarkir is being presented pretty clearly.
The last set is Dragons of Tarkir, showing us the impact of Ugin never dying has on the world.
I'm not saying Ugin has nothing to do with the Eldrazi storyline, but Tarkir isn't about the Eldrazi. It's about the dragons.
I know Sorin's not exactly known for his healing but he did create a powerful Archangel so I would presume healing is within his repertoire.
The exact opposite actually. He drains life. (And I'm not sure what creating an angel has to do with healing. All white magic does not amount to the same thing.)
People are really trying to bend the details to achieve the result they want, but I'm looking at it with what information we have. Sorin has not shown any indication that he'll have any further impact on the story. This is about Sarkhan and the voice that is driving him on and what his actions will lead to. Not Sorin.

It's confusing me a bit.
She's stealing Thassa's followers (mainly the tritons). They started venerating her and she did nothing to stop them.
Gods (except Kruphix) simply don't understand planeswalker (just look at every single god-planeswalker interaction in the storyline). Thassa is not letting Kiora get near her dear little Arixmethes because she know what Xenagos and Elspeth did to Nylea's poor little pet, Polukranos.
Gods are vain and self-centered. Thassa doesn't know what that weird, devotion-stealing, foreign triton woman wants to do with Arixmethes, and she doesn't care. Arixmethes is hers, you go away planeswalker.
Yes, that true, but I highly doubt that their appearing together in the same set is a coincidence, and I also doubt that WotC would have them arrive on Tarkir at approximately the same time if they did not intend for their paths to cross;
If I may intrude, I'd say, that given the latest trends, it will be the basis of a Duel Deck matching Sorin vs Sarkhan in spring 2016.
This may be changing to a different topic, but what about a pregnant creature? Would their unborn offspring be protected by their body if they traveled to another plane?

But I suppose all our walkers (cept Karn) so far are mammals... Oh well...
Kiora begs to disagree.
And... y'know, Bolas too.
Well technically Kiora might be a mammal she dose have breast which would indicate milk and probably live young and being aquatic doesn't rule out mammals so kiora would actually appear to be a mammal so that leaves Karn Ugin and Bolas out of our current crop of planeswalkers.

I shall agree that Kiora is mammalian, since merfolk are mostly human, except for such features as fins, which aquatic mammals (such as whales and dolphins) possess, as well.

The type of fin the merfolk have aren't the same material as sea mammals though, nor do sea mammals have scales either.

I guess the unborn is still part of the planeswalker body..

There's no precedent for this. I... sort of doubt there ever will be, to be honest. This is a property which is more about combat and conflict, and there's a big question to where a pregnant woman would fit into the IP.
What if he casted a polymorphing spell that turned creatures into dragons and then bred them?
That's assuming a lot about the functionality of a polymorph spell. Not to mention how questionable it would be for him to be capable of casting that on someone else.

That may be true, but would it be too difficult for a person to simply ask an employee of WotC about that subject via Twitter or e-mail? That would be a way to address the subject without needing to mention it in the actual game.

Actually, a homebrew character of mine is a planeswalker whose spark ignited while going into labor. The baby survived the Blind Eternities, but was born on another plane, trapping the mother there and preventing her from returning home. I think there's room for a story like that in Magic.

I believe someone did ask Brady and he basically said "I'm not answering that."
I think someone, similarly, has asked Doug and he didn't give any sort of answer either.
Just because you can ask doesn't mean they are interested in giving an answer. They aren't there to answer all our questions just because we want to know.
About the pregnant planeswalker, wouldn't be cool to have it as an one-shot character, like a mother who's travelling from plane to plane in search of the perfect place to grow her child?
Not very really.
She's an extremely narrow focus of an IP. They want to make characters they can use multiple times, and her motivation with engaging with the greater storylines are really limited. She's just not very versatile as a character.
What about Urza and Xantcha? She wasn't a planewalker but Urza built a device to allow here to survive planeswalking? Couldn't he do something similar?
Urza was an oldwalker. Planeswalkers could do a lot more stuff than what they can do now.
