I don't think its so much that they trust her explicitly, because, you know, they don't trust her.
But I would think that they are aware of her character and know that what she does she'll do for the good of the Orzhov.
Or if nothing else, they know that she's the most well connected person in the Church.
Or something <_< >_>
They care nothing for the Orzhov in general, just what it means for their personal wealth and power.
Of course, now, she's doesn't appear to even plan to run the maze.
Ruric Thar one was a bit painful to read through; it was approaching the line of comedy, but it didn't quite reach that point. I think using "mum" would have been funnier than "mom"; it's just a funnier word. Guest writers...:-/
Teysa one was one of those stories where we get some interesting interaction and nothing happens. I prefer the stories that have some events, so I'm hoping this whole thing is buildup to more stories.

The Teysa story...well, except from the final line and hints at Tajic not being a complete crazy Boros zealot at all, nothing happened. That's my biggest problem with that.

They especially mentioned Tajic to have a goatee, no wonder he is so willing to ally with the evil Orzhov
On a serious note i liked him, i wasn't expecting much from him, when i saw his art, but here he comes as an interesting character, not the "usual Boros". I liked how he caught professional lier Teysa off guard by flattering her by actually telling the truth and his attitude overall and how he casually "inspires people".

This is a key issue I've noticed with a lot of the underwhelming Uncharted Realms stories. For me, the best ones are those with an actual story, like the mage finding the leylines the Dimir were trying to keep secret.

Teysa entering into a pact with another mazerunner to destroy her guildmaster counts for nothing?
The Obzedat come across as fairly intelligent and they have been around for a LONG time. For some reason, I believe that they are expecting Teysa to betray them and because of this Teysa will fail, but her death will spark a change within the guild and they will band together and destroy the Obzedat themselves. Remember to cross Teysa is to cross the entire guild so killing her won't sit well with them even if its the guild leader(s).

Teysa is much more of a fan favorite than the Obzedat. If she does die, I'm almost certain she'll come back as a spirit in time for Return to Return to Ravnica: Gelectrode Boogaloo.
Gods, but how I love Teysa. This story could have consisted of Teysa reading the Ravnican equivalent of a phone book (which I assume is some sort of Tome of Master Scrying) and I would have been enthralled. They were completely true to her character from the last go-round; she still has her cane (which based on her art I was afraid they retconned).
And the revelation that she not only doesn't give a damn about the maze, but that she's actively hoping to kill (more? re-kill?...let's just go with destroy) the Obzedat?
I enjoyed this week's Uncharted Realms very much, since Teysa was one of my favorite characters from the Ravnica Cycle novels. I am not at all surprised that she is plotting against the Obzedat, as she is very ambitious, they have grown arrogant and complacent with their power, and the Orzhov is indeed one of the most treacherous and ambitious guilds, rivaled only by the Dimir. I shall be very interested to see what her next move shall be, and I would definitely like to see her become the new leader of the Orzhov guild, as it is time that that guild had new leadership, in my mind.
What about Tajic? How may he be involved? Will he remain loyal to Teysa (likely, since he is a member of the Boros guild, the guild that values oaths and promises more strongly than any other guild), or shall he betray her at the most crucial moment of their plan? I definitely am very intrigued by this turn of events.

It wasn't a bad story. Ever since i red Agents of Artifice I've had a new found respect for Jace. This story portrayed him kinda well.
From what I figure its Jace trying to finish the maze for the Dimir right after The Secretist part 2. But, his attitude about his situation seemed a little off to me. I thought he would be more frantic like he was when he looked into Niv-Mizzet's mind. Although him being relaxed while researching makes sense as well, he does like his research.

Much more likely that this predates Secretist part 2 and takes place during Jace's first investigation into it. No matter how you slice it, there's gonna be some static between this and the secretist.
With the plethora of possible fantasy names, the reason why Adam Lee has chosen for his character a name that is IDENTICAL with one of the greatest characters in Magic history is entirely beyond my understanding.
What purpose it serves, other than confusing people that are new into the game?

her new picture? BAWSE.
She looks like she should be running thangs. I'd make her the favorite to win the maze based on her pic alone.
I approve.

And the irony being that she has no intention of running the maze.

If you look at the high-res version of her art in the article, her right hand is resting on the top of her cane.

Not a terrible story, I guess. Seems a little like they just wanted to say "Oh by the way. In case you forgot, Jace is still here too."

I definitely had a rollercoaster of emotions from seeing the name "Barrin". Thank great universe it wasn't "Urza"...
And I've totally missed the Jace-related storyline piece at first reading and was wondering if this story's sole purpose is to introduce cluestones.
Why oh why couldn't they have gone with "waypoints" for the card names?

Wasn't a cluestone. It was the code that Azor built into the Maze course.
