5) However - as unhappy I am, because of the absence of the books, and diverse storyline and flavor material - I do agree with the final decision made. If you can't handle it - don't do it, unless you find a solution. But don't blame it on your customers. It's getting you nowhere.
There was never a strong desire for Vorthos products. They didn't do well so they continually kept decreasing their budget for them, which made them do worse, for sure, but this cycle began with people not giving a crap. They didn't post this on the mothership, saying: this is your fault. It was a response to a direct question, and the only honest one at that.
Not going to lie; I laughed.
The reaction panel really sells it.
I can't see the Wizards executive as anyone other than Liquid Ocelot.
This is now headcanon.
I am somehow relieved that at least someone found this funny... I was afraid that it wouldn't resonate to somebody hee hee.
I kinda see the Liquid Ocelot comparison, this "character" is actually my take on a representation of Wizards as a whole packed into one (hence the color palette, he already appeared on another earlier strip).

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
I hate to be that guy, because I'm sure you have a busy schedule that keeps you from working on your webcomic whenever you want, but this strip would have been a lot funnier a couple of months ago, when the rules change was first announced.
Also, you totally should have had a panel of Gideon punching himself in the face.

I know right? The Chandra one just exhausted me out of Magic illustration so much that I took a break from drawing anything Magic related.
Hopefully one day we will play with the RW Gideon / Chandra child and the B Liliana / Garruk / Jace child (hybrid mana because noone knows who's the father...!!! Liliana married both of then).
Neo-Teen-Walkers will be awesome tv show one day.
On a serious note, i wish the characters (the neowalkers) interacted with each other more often. I'm really hungry for a weatherlight 2.0 at this point, not sure if it's only me !
Anyway, keep up the good work Moppi, i really enjoy what you do.
Barinellos pointed this out to me on the mothership forums and I'm punching myself for missing the opportunity.
Actually, the original postwas intended Gideon punching himself in the face. I assumed you had changed it for stylistic reasons, but--rereading it--it was never explicitly stated.
This, kids, is why it's important to have a detailed script when you collaborate. Just don't go full Alan Moore.
Interesting that you didn't go with Koth's hiding/eleventh Venser.
And it's not an objection to furries per se. It's the dramacirclejerk of ||:furries are oppressed because furries have a persecution complex because:|| when most of us really don't care.
(Though, the fact that my "look at bad faux-ndn art drawn by white people—SPOILER ALERT: it's all bad—for the lulz" hobby does send me to furry sites more than occasionally disturbs me. But that's off-topic here.)
Yeah, I like Elspeth, but "evolve as a character, then slide back for the next block" does get tedious. I know, it's the nature of collaborations, but still...

If you want to make the mana symbols more easily, just use the curly brackets and put the two mana symbols in them, e.g. {gu} = (G/U)

They tried to continue the cross-block saga flavor with The Storyline That Shall Not Be Named, going through Odyssey, Onslaught, and Mirrodin, with bits of Time Spiral, but it's all just a way to bring Phyrexia back. It wasn't well received. Something about spark transplants, dead people coming back with nothing indicating their zombie-ness...

Even as a joke, I can't let that one go. Sparks do not work that way.

Point of clarification: Is there anything actually stopping the children of two planeswalkers from being a planeswalker themselves, or is it just the fact that it's insanely unlikely?
(As far as I know, there is only one case of a planeswalker's child being a planeswalker themselves, and that's a Pre-Revisionist short story.)
On-topic: I really like the VI update, and reading the commentary makes me wonder if the humorous potential in the Groundhog Day-esque nature of character development in MtG (i.e. some characters seem to need to learn the same lessons over and over) could lead that to be the subject of a future strip all by itself? (I'd love to see your take on that in comic-form.)
