Well, I've read Game of Thrones, and many people in the fantasy community feel that the Song of Fire and Ice is turning out to be the greatest fantasy series since LotRs. 'Course, we will have to wait 'till its done to be sure.
Anyway, I am guessing that they are only giving us PART of the comic, and we will be getting more in the near future.
(Either that or they are saying that the Planeswalker Novel is BETTER than GoT... which would be a very strong statement to make.)

Or that they are saying that like a game of thrones AoA is the start of a longer narrative, something Vorthosi (I've decided that should be the plural of Vorthos) have been waiting for since the end of the Weatherlight saga
Asking out a girl is like trying to cast a first turn Necropotence. Sometimes the other player will have the Force of Will to say no. You shouldn't let that stop you from trying it.
Clearly it is a metaphor for the plight of the common people under feudal rule in medieval Europe. The track of tiny footsteps of the opressed leads under the shadow of A Game of Thrones, representing the complex workings of politics and royalty that will forever be beyond them. The cover of Agents of Artifice is shiny, referring to the many sparkling riches that are likewise beyond the reach of the common man.

Obviously.
Oh thank god. This makes a lot of sense. And here I thought the author was implying that Jace and Lilliana were twins and that they were getting freaky incestuous style. How silly of me.
I now desperately want Luminous Can to become a good friend of mine.
Heh, I thought it was just a reference to Eid's periodic complaint that placing Agents of Artifice next to A Game of Thrones is like placing spam next to sirloin steak and then pricing the spam higher than the steak--there's a pretty good chance that the spam isn't going to attract many takers.
Of course, from all the crypticism going on I'm guessing the comic is a lot deeper than that. Probably more along the lines of what Luminous Can is describing.
Although I thought it was more reminiscent of the exodus to Europe of the Lost Generation post-WWI and the subsequent decline of American culture towards gilded splendor and amoral cultural icons.
You know, it's more likely that we probably can't understand this comic because it is the first in a series. Hence the short time between updates this week, and I hope I am taking MORT's hint the right way.
Well, if it's about what I think it's about, then yes. A million years ago (before AoA was out) I commented that I saw it in Barnes & Noble immediately preceding the ASoIaF books. So I made the analogy (apparently, though I don't remember it, but Keeper has a better memory than I about things that I've said :-D ) that it'd be like paying $15 for Spam, when Steak is available for $7 two inches away.
But like I say, that was before AoA came out and ended up being extremely good. But, still ... c'mon ... it's A Game of Thrones, man. It's like sweet Alabama liquid snake. Crack in printed form, man.

Eh, I'm immune to it. I had kiddy Glaucoma. Grew up on gov'ment weed.
(which is an ironic statement on two levels, because I read some of a Game of Thrones, but it didn't click with me. I'm not saying it's a bad series though, just didn't do anything for me.)
Actually, I just made that metaphor up because I couldn't remember your ACTUAL metaphor!
But yeah, that's about how it went down.
Also, A Game of Thrones is currently on my list of Books I Still Haven't Read, so feel free to stab me. I have an excuse, though! It is theoretically available at my local library but some jerk keeps checking it out.
I actually uploaded it about 7-8 hours before the deadline coz i feared that i might oversleep. So yeah. All questions regarding this mystery 2 parter and stuff can be answered by the text that's with the entry.

I love these comics Maybe I should bookmark this thread at least so that I can LOL from time to time.
To be frank, 1st was meh, it's the oh-so-common neowalker-hate I've read pretty often (although it seems to have subsided now)
2nd was really fun, to say the least.
Third one is gold, mostly due to Nissa's despondent expression (I can hear her say "Can I get Vindicated now?" XDXDXD). And putting Garruk in such a casual clothing (that even though I noticed the girls, I didn't even thought the guy was Garruk) was brilliant.
Fourth one's fun. Yeah, From time to time I hate those kind of overpricings.... I'm fine paying for the product and the production costs, but not for the advertisements. (Okay, every commercial product costs advertisement, but not so much as though it IS composed of ads)
Anyway, I am guessing that they are only giving us PART of the comic, and we will be getting more in the near future.
Anyway, I know this is not the point, but its $25 bucks because it comes with a $20 card. I love me my alt-art Jace, have him in like every deck I build
Yeah, the alternate art Jace was only available if you bought it from a card store, and only for a limited time. If you got it from Amazon or B&N or whatever, you didn't get it.
The book was great for a Magic book, but still way too overpriced. TPF was, in its own way, even more overpriced. Different dimensions, same page count, bigger text, twice as much ...
Anyway, for those of you who've waited for AoA, have fun! I've read it two and a half times now.

Any idea when the next comic will be posted? Just quite all that "real life stuff" and focus your time on things that matter! Like satisfying mtg nerds!

If doing this comic pays me financially (and in a sustaining rate at that would be neat) releases would be more frequent, like maybe thrice a month *crosses fingers*. I'm currently training for a job right now at the moment actually so all i can do at the moment is browse and post on forums.
