Well they could just scrap the whole PLANESWALKER line of books and just keep the supposed to be EXPANSION RELATED books since it prominently features Bradywalkers anyway. Give it a treatment like that of collected edition of the Artifacts cycle and give it a back to back cover. That'll save them some printing work. :+ ...... I think.

I'm with Mort - I'd rather the block story go the way of the dodo, if one of them must.
I wrote that I'd prefer to stop block novels instead of PW line, cuz common agreement was they were generally worse than PW books so far. But as someone noticed, if the whole effort was put into block novels, they could be equally good.
I just don't find them as enjoyable. I like the story hopping across multiple planes, as the two Planeswalker novels have. And I don't think it's a matter of quality for me - I just prefer the way Agents of Artifice and The Purifying Fire were structured compared to block novels.
But then, I admittedly kinda like the neowalkers...
I fired off a few emails in the hopes of getting to the bottom of this. I'm hoping to get a reply of some kind within the week, but the prereleases could be a good way of obtaining information, potentially. Many Wizards employees hit up the prereleases and even if they aren't exactly involved with novel publication, it's still worth a shot to see what, if anything, they could shed some light on.

And since cardwalkers are there anyway, there would be not much difference (although from marketing perspective, I'm sure PWline sells better - as a part of the cardwalker madness).
Anyway, I hope the reason of the Curse... being cancelled is not because they barely sell. Whatever I think about some choices in direction, I want Wizards to invest into Storyline and continuously develop it.
I hope that if Liliana's book was scrapped, we will get EXTENSIVE background information on her in articles, or that the book will be eventually released (even if rewritten completely by a new author).
Finally, Wizards, for Yawgmoth's sake, when something like this happens, tell us, because now or later we will get to know from another source. And that puts you in a bad light. I mean, these things happen, right, for whatever reason, and there is no shame in saying that something didn't work this time. We will not bomb you. We will whine a little, but I'm sure less than in current circumstances.
Ah... that's sad. I was really hoping we could learn more of Liliana...
I hope you're right. I weep for Liliana's novel, but cancelling Test of Metal - a book about my favorite planeswalker written by one of my favorite writers - would hurt much more.
Yeah I think honestly Lilianna's character is the best of the latest bunch as her character is older, and multi-layered. She has real feelings (Love etc) for a black character and is someone you can sympathise/empathise with which is something that can rarely (if ever) be said for a black character. She sold her soul for life/power (something which many "good" people to on a more practical level) and yeah I really wanted to see where she went with the Veil and how things went between her and Jace (a much better/interesting pairing than Chandra/Gideon which although okay, read more like a typical Mills and Boon romance novel, with the female character needing the man etc etc). Jace is my second favourite though, an interesting Blue character that has both elements of Black and White (his allied colours). It's interesting to see how he can get along with a Green character as well!
So isn't there any possibility to read The Curse Of the Chain Veil?
The book has never been published neither on the web?
This book was never published, period. Around the time of Innistrad, Wizards of the Coast cancelled all the ongoing lore products (online webcomics and novels). Innistrad's story ended up being told more or less in just two or three articles online. We wouldn't get another novel until Return to Ravnica the following year, and that was an Ebook.
Liliana's Chain Veil story has continued, but threaded throughout other plots. I've written about everything we know in Archive Trap: Liliana, Garruk, the Veil.
