Since Teferi loses his spark do yah think that pic we got of him is the art of his card??
I certianly hope/beleive so, it's been more than hinted at before that they're willing to print powerful characters, and simply put, if Akroma and Karona can esee print (Considering their powerful storyline forms), A mortal Teferi is a short time coming to a card near you.
I can't remember the type of Sacrifice/spell Bo Levar made to save the merfolk of dominaria, but it has been referenced by our source when describing Teferi's act of sacrificing himself to 'fix' the Time rifts on Shiv/Jamuura.
We're getting close to more TS spoilers, hopefully both card-wise and storyline wise too.

James, the Bo Levar's spell was described in a way that he powered it with his "immortal soul" - what is only a small step from saying "with his spark".
Well, I start to believe that the first pic could be mortal Teferi with a broken staff.

Poor Teferi, for being one of the nicest planeswalkers around, he sure gets the short end of the staff...
But seriously, I'm glad they're going to start taking the spark out of planeswalkers. There are far far too many, and since Magic doesn't exactly have a 'god' status power level, planeswalker happens to be the de facto 'god'. By taking a bunch of sparks away, you can make a smaller number of gods, thus making it more rare to have one about.
You can also print the mortal walkers as powerful ass legends ;). I wanna see Teferi with TAP: Remove Teferi, the Mortal from game until end of your opponents turn. Boom! Makes it back for the upkeep ;).
Info is drying up a bit, ill let yall know when I find anything.

That guy who read the novel (sorry i forgot the name) can ya make a resume of the story?? PPLEEASSE:::::
That's me I suppose.
Pretty much everything cool is already out there. Not much else happens really if you read all the threads. Radha fights Greht a couple times on her quest to destroy all the Gathans and Teferi and friends just wander around a lot. Every once in a while the locals or some warband from the past show up and fight them.
And a couple chapters about how they release Nicol Bolas. He may be a big bad villian later but he didn't do a lot here.
Wow, so Bolas will be used later. Bravo, Mcgough, Bravo indeed. Good show. I can't wait to read this novel now.
So you mean to say all the points I've covered is the whole novel in a nutshell? I feel there has to be more to it then that, like Venser's character, why Radha has her ability and how Teferi uses it, who releases Bolas and for what purpose and what are his motives when released? How about and Umezawa reference or appearance? We're salivating to know, and you can quench it for us without us waiting 3 more weeks. The book is pre-ordered, bought and read for most of us, we just love our spoilers.
Anything would be helpful.

Attack one beating chicken of 4 cards, then erase 3 minus from your battleax. Never in your main phase will you do a 4 cards risen, but McDonald of 2 to the punish-bin. Again, beat softly to the end.

Venser is just an artificer. We don't know why Radha has the ability but she moves her bond with the Skyshroud Rift to Keld. Bolas' release is pretty much an accident caused by Teferi's walking through the rifts. Bolas mentions the Umezawas in passing. Really, you have the novel 95% complete.
Wow so it's a dead heat wait till Planar Chaos then. Spoilers came heavy this year. Glad we got so much of the info! Can't wait to read, I thin Venser will turn evil (Urborg).

YAY!!! now i gotta wait till october to read it all, this is better than drinking cyanide!!!
Honestly though thanks villain and shaybo for all the contributions (and hydro too... but he contributes so much to so many threads i think every post he makes should have a pop up saying thanks jeejej), its interesting how well scott has mixed almost every element of dominarian history so far, and i honestly cant wait to get the book and read it myself... while i dont mind spoiling a good book nothing beats reading it yourself.

Doubt Venser will be evil. He's a real shrinking violet. Maybe manipulated into it... Bolas pretty much takes control of his weak mind for a minute.
Heh, an user with name tsanders is just browsing this thread. I guess we had another Magic author onboard here :). Welcome here, mr. Sanders, join the discussion :).
Just wanted to offer a quick notice--I'll be less responsive than usual until after Labor Day because I'm a deadline-driven fellow (who, in this case, is being driven by deadlines who use a big honkin' stick to do the driving).
Catch up with you later,

Nicol Bolas is the evil? Nicol Bolas. You know, he looks pretty harmless what with the rocking chair and the books. Yes, yes, I know the ability hints otherwise, but... Still...

I was sure this was a mortal Teferi. The broken staff is just too symbolic (if that word exists in english). I told everyone that saw that picture with me, but I never posted it...
:Cries for mising his oracular moment in the phorumz...:
I have some info to contribute, i got the info over IM with a dear, dear friend of mine. In PC, Vesner does the unthinkable, he helps yawgmoth back over the void into domnaria. Bolas....Yawgmoth...Vesner.....holy ****

Yes, symbolic is a word, and thats what I thought when I saw the pic also.

Vesner just a pawn anyways. If Yawgie comming back is true, we might see a good pit of phyrexian cards in PC then.
I hope we don't see yawg for a good while more, but thats what I said about slivers also.
I see slivers aren't really mentioned in any spoilers so far so I'm going to guess they don't do much in the books, if anything.

Wow Planar Chaos information early? That's very very interesting, although hard to say if it's true or not because of how early it comes--but into consideration it goes.
I'm not sure i'd like the return of Yawgmoth really. They're aluding to many planeswalker sacrificing sparks to save Dominaria, and so who would stand up to him? Are you going to just make new ones? I mean, Kamahl Planeswalker is cool, but that's just weird.
This is where alternate realities and time travel could come in. If you have say a plane without planeswalkers, except Karn, and Yawgmoth is brought back by Venser (say he followed Crovax and his lineage survives through Venser, thus Phyrexian influence) then they are severely mis-matched. Karn would in turn go back in time and change the future, which may be uglier than a hopeless fight against Yawgmoth.

Yes, but that's taking into account that Yawgmoth will be as powerful as he was in Apocalypse. I think that if he does show up again, he'll be severely weakened.

I just finished reading the book actually (I picked up my copy at Gencon), and slivers don't have a huge impact on the story elements of the book, but are mentioned heavily in Teferi's stint in Skyshroud. In fact his handselected group of 2 Viashino (Skive and Corus), 2 Ghitu (Dassene and Aprem), and ,of course, Jhoira do battle with them there. Apparently the Slivers and the Saprolings constantly fight for dominance over the outskirts of Skyshroud. The inhabitants of Skyshroud itself look nothing more than walking bones- on account of Freyalise not being able to draw sufficient mana because of the rift.
Lord Windgrace is also talked about when Teferi travels to Urborg. It seems that he rules over a group known as the Gladerunners whose job it is to destroy artifacts and artificers (which is how Teferi finds Venser). Lord Windgrace is not actually in the book but it seems that he might pop up in the Planar Chaos book.
So...the possibility of the future sight library still exists. How excited am I. First i randomly spew Madara, Nicol Bolas returns. Then i spit Windgrace'sGuffs books... Oops... Well lets hpe they come into play.

Quoted for truthery. Especially anytime McGough has his hands on it, it's like the closest thing MTG has to a Midas' Touch.
