i was talking about how i wanted to build a mtg utility for the Nintendo ds home brew forums and some one volunteered to code it. so it looks like i will not be learning to code but instead helping with data files and art work.
does any one know if there is a recent card data base that one can download and use to build programs. id like to to include all the recent errata and such. thanks.
the first thought that comes to mind for me: if you have someone that can do the programming, what about taking it from Magic Online? MODO has all the card information stored somewhere in it. if somebody knew enough programming to know where to look, and how to open the files, they might get all this stuff in any easy format.
You have to click in the table and select all and export with the right click menu, but I'm not sure. The following information is impossible to find, but I'm exposing it here:
A) Download maitai72's updated 10E game rulingshttp://www.mediafire.com/?7vjpmgsgpgm
After you put the .chm file into your C:\Program Files\Magic Workstation\Data folder, double click it and read Maitai's Helpful MWS Tips. He tells you how to modify/update the masterbase.
The masterbase works with the sets.dat file.
