Sadly, the new version is full of bugs. I played through the story mode, but the solo battle mode is unplayable. Already, I have noticed these:
1) Solo battle: All basic lands are removed from my deck before the game begins. I loaded up my old white weenie deck and took what I thought was a very high number of mulligans. I only saw a few non-basics. Then I realized my deck was just over 40 cards. Checked the deck builder and saw a 60 card deck with 18 Plains plus non-basics. Went back to battle. 40+ card deck again. No Plains in 20-ish mulligans. I tried to edit the deck, but nothing helped.
2) Solo battle: Tried to load a different deck. Got stuck on the load screen. Had to CTRL+ALT+DEL to kill it.
3) Story mode: The new timer is terrible. It will skip over phases if you only have instant effects in hand or on the board. This is highly undesirable. For example, if you have a Clue on the battlefield and 6 mana untapped, after combat, you will be taken straight to the End step. You don't get a second main phase at all. Also, if you cast a Coal Stoker with the intent of using the 3 added mana to cast an instant, the mana will flash on screen, but the phase will instantly end before you can use the mana.
4) Story mode: Lifelinkers don't gain you twice the life when an opponent controls Goldnight Castigator. For example, an attacking Vampire Nighthawk will cause the opponent to lose 4 life, but you only gain 2 life.
Please post other bugs as you find them. I'm pretty disappointed there are so many problems already.
i've been experiencing the same solo battle bug where my basics don't load in. between this and and the long versus battle times, i've barely gotten a chance to even touch the new cards at all.
Interesting, it seems they're rolling out the SOI update on PC first. I haven't seen any update on iOS yet, but have been checking the App Store often expecting to see the update ever since the Magic Duels servers went down a day ago
In the final chapter of the Oath of the Gatewatch story mode, I used Roil Spout to put the AI's Ulamog on top of it's deck, then used Jace Beleren's -10 to make the AI mill 20 cards. Imagine my surprise when the AI casts Ulamog the very next turn and nukes two more of my permanents. I double checked the AI's graveyard, and sure enough, there was no Ulamog in it.
i've had a few games where disciple of the ring would not work. it takes my mana and an instant/sorcery, but does nothing. guess i'm removing it until it ets fixed
Glad I didn't see the Prism Array. I managed to get through both new story lines with one loss, that being the Gatewatch one, but I got it on the second try. I did feel that it skipped giving me a chance to play something a couple times, but I can't be sure. I wish the timer was adjustable. I need more than 5 seconds to think.
I can confirm the missing lands bug. I played a Sylvan Ranger on my ramp deck (from two dual lands), and surprise, it found nothing, 37 cards in the library to start. So a huge bug there; it makes constructed unplayable. I had edited the deck just before, to put in some new cards and take out those stupid Perilous Myr replacements. In a deck I had not edited since the change, I had a full 60.
I have seen no crashes on my iPad pro. This is a big difference from the prior build, where I was having lots of crashing issues. But this is only after a day or so of occasional play.
I am pleased with some of the changes and fixes. Being able to shrink the huge dialog boxes so you can see your hand or battlefield is a plus. The subtle changes to UIs to include all sets and colorless lands and so on is good.
At least it seems they've finally solved the problem with the Murasa warden card that wouldn't give you back what you wanted on death. Still, geeze, so many things, and it's been less than 3 days.

Confirming problems with solo battles. After remaking my Dark Ramp deck I tried to go on to solo battles and after loading and the "clash" intro, I got to look at my hand but the game stopped responding completely.
Also, weirdly enough, I am earning gold with the skill quests. Go figure.

During the final OGW Battle, I had the opponent cast multiple Endless Ones without tapping mana for them, they came into play with a number of counters equal to thier untapped lands at the time, then they contiunued to cast more spells...
Fortunately for me, I had a couple of Sturmgeists on the field so I just held cards in hand and flew over them all.
Also, weirdly enough, I am earning gold with the skill quests. Go figure.
Double check that you're ACTUALLY earning it. I went through several of them and it said I was getting gold each time, but when I looked at my gold total, I saw it hadn't changed. Wasted time.
Played some tonight. Building a deck from scratch allowed me to participate in solo battles without any more crashes than before the update. The timer issue is pretty severe though and made it too frustrating for me to want to play against live opponents.
My copy appears to be fine, aside from the inclusion of Prism Array in what was supposed to be a serious deck.
That and the new timer, which has me paranoid.

have encountered one bug where the game returned a "game is busy" window after I tried to regenerate my creature, then spacebar to pause timer failed and I lost my creature that should be regenerated because the game simply refused to do it.
Okay since my last post I've started to get +3 min loading times on Battle Mode, which is less than amazing.
Mainly because I get bored before the game loads and quit out, so I've not played that mode since yesterday.

so i found a way to do solo battles, but it's a bit tedious. i heard that if you copied a deck that it would work. however, if you copy with the copy function in game (by pressing 'menu' on XB1)it won't work, but if you make a new deck and and just put the same cards in by hand it works. i tested it with my mono-W weenie deck and confirmed it. i haven't tried it with other decks yet though, so i'm not sure how reliable this "fix" is.
I deleted all my old decks because the hangs I was getting were ridiculous.
Also, aren't you supposed to be able to respond to activated abilities with instants? I've had a few games where I've been holding Complete Disregard and had an opponent activate their creature's +2/+N ability to prevent me from using the spell because their creature reaches 4 power before I can cast.

Responding to abilities works fine for me, friend. I'm unsure what exactly may be wrong. They activate the ability and you can't use space bar to stop time and cast?
I've had success in getting the game not to crash after finishing a match by waiting until the figure completely stopped moving, so uh, there's a tip if anybody's experienced something like that.
First PvP ranked game went without a hitch too.

Same here with bugs. I have it on PC ... lately, I've also been getting less gold than I'm supposed to. Coupla days in a row. I had 80 going into a single player 10 coin battle. Won that and completed a quest for 100. Should be 80+10+100, but no, I had a total of 150. It's not much, but if it keeps happening, it's a real pain.
And the timer thing SUCKKKKKKKKKSSSS. For example, I had a sorcery in my graveyard that I wanted to use AFTER combat. I -3ed Jace to make it happen, attacked, and then BAM, end step. I ran a 1/1 into a 4 toughness creature with the idea that I'd be able to burn it out post-combat. Nope, Duels had other plans ... mainly me screwing myself by not casting the spell, losing a creature, and losing 3 counters off of Jace for no reason. One of many I've experienced ... I'm pretty much scared to try and play anything in my second main phase now.

@shiza: yeah the new timer sucks hardcore and I don't know how to get it to disable so I can cast things when I like. Seriously wondering if Duels is made by people who play magic.

I concur that the new timer is annoying and Prism Array, while useful, should not have been in the deck for that match D=
Also it crashed for no reason after completing the second match from the SoI campaign.

- Solo still unplayable. Loading solo match causes the loading screen to hang indefinitely.
How long have you been waiting for? Cause I noticed for me it takes a long while before I finally do get a match.
