Hey all for the above PC game, besides buying the boosters whats another fast way of getting them.
20 coins for each match won isnt very many. The storyline gives you a decent bit. It seems the first story I completed gave me 3 booster packs but the rest didnt give me any? Is this a glitch or is that how it is for everyone? it seems like its going to taek foreverrrrr to unlock a decent amount of cards unless you spend real money.
Also, the only booster you can buy are origins rigth now correct?
The fastest way to earn gold is to make an aggressive deck and go against Hard AI opponents. They only give 15 gold, but it's a lot faster than playing online. Be aware that you can't earn more than 400 gold per day through battles (to prevent cheating). After opening 80 boosters, you will have all the cards in Origins.
And yes, only Origins boosters are available, but the Battle for Zendikar ones should come out soon, as well as a new campaign and additional cards for the starter set.
Got it thank, you may have all the cards in Origins, but unlocking a card doesnt give you a playset it just gives one card correct? thats the way it seems unless im missing something.
Finishing the tutorial (Gideon's campaign) gives you the equivalent of a deck builder's toolkit. All of the cards with the "D" set symbol come from that, and you get a full playset of all of them (where "playset" means 4x for commons, 3x for uncommons, 2x for rares, and 1x for mythics). Each of the other 4 campaigns gives you enough coins for a pack the first time you complete them. Just like real packs, opening a card in a pack only gives you one copy of a card. Just like real packs, you are guaranteed a rare or mythic in each pack. Unlike real packs, you can easily get duplicates within the pack (this happens in the real world with foils and packaging errors, but is not common). Unlike real packs, you will never get a copy of a card you already have a "playset" of. This means that, eventually, you are guaranteed to get a "playset" of every card (which takes somewhere in the neighborhood of 75 packs after completing all campaigns IIRC). The game will not permit you to purchase more packs than you can get cards from; as you near completion of the set, the store will reduce the maximum number of packs you can buy at once, and when all cards have been opened, it won't let you buy packs.
Completing daily quests is a decent way of getting coins, as well. I've unlocked a "playset" of each card in the game and made all of them foil (5 coins per distinct card, whether it's 4x common or 1x mythic it's all the same), and now I pretty much just hop on once a day or every other day to complete the quest(s), and just from that I'm nearing 2,000 coins stored up.
