Sure. That's what the first ability of DS is about. If you would get a token (or more), DS makes it so that you get twice as many. A planeswalker's loyalty abilities are just activated abilities (but with more restrictions on its use fixed in the rules), when they resolve they have their effects. So long as it's an effect generating tokens, DS will double the number. (I can't think of anything making tokens, that's not an effect).
Note, that it is still Sorin that gives you the tokens, DS just changes the number you get.
No. Doubling Season works by modifying the event that gives counters, meaning it needs to already be on the battlefield as that event is happening. If it enters at the same time as the walker, that isn't happening.
Doubling season has a static ability that causes a replacement effect, for it to be able to affect and event it has to be on the battlefield before the event in question occurs.
Its the same principle that means you can't Tooth and nail in a clone and another creature and have the clone copy the other creature brought in.

So assuming Season's on the field already when the walker enters, it'll enter with double starting loyalty. But using a postiive loyalty ability won't result in double the counters for adding counters is a cost, not an effect.
Yes, but grimfacia was asking about the situation of both Doubling Season and Jace entering at the same time. (For example, hitting both with a Genesis Wave for X>=5.) In that case, Jace would only enter with 3 counters.
I thought it was the wording on clone (as it comes into play) anyway thanks. Came into question when I ultimate Ugin, and then I drew Doubling Season and Tamiyo. Oh well thanks guys.
In a similar fashion, if Clone is entering the battlefield at the same time as another creature, you cannot choose that creature to copy; you have to clone something that's already in play.
So I have a Doubling Season and Sorin, Lord of Innistard. I use Sorin's +1 to get a 1/1 Vamp. Does DS give me more tokens?
I have been searching for hours for an answer.
Note, that it is still Sorin that gives you the tokens, DS just changes the number you get.
