A person I often play EDH with a player who sometimes casts Epic Experiment and then puts Krosan Grip on the bottom of the stack, which he says prevents anybody from casting spells or activating abilities until all the spells cast with Epic Experiment resolve. Upon further reflection, I'm not sure this works because Epic Experiment lets you cast exile instants and sorcery one at time. It seems like split second would prevent a player from casting further spells once it was on the stack, so something like Krosan Grip would have to be on the top the stack from Epic Experiment.
You cast the cards one at a time, choosing modes, targets, and so on. The last card you cast will be the first one to resolve.
So this doesn't work. To put Krosan Grip at the bottom of the stack, he would need to cast it first, preventing him from casting the rest of the spells.
EDIT: Basically, if he chooses to cast Krosan Grip, then it must be the top card of the stack, because nothing can be put on top of it.
I'm not sure, hence this thread.
