Okay I need help to define how this works for a friend of mine who has had the sad occurrence to play with someone who "twists the rules" when playing with newer players.
Player A has a hand of 5, 1 creature card and 4 non-creatures.
Player B cast a card that says "Reveal Target opponents hand and discard one creature from it" (sorry I dont know the name of the card)
So the questions are.
Does Player A hand over his entire hand?
Or, does he only hand over the lone creature he has, which is the only one able to be affected?
Is Player B able to take his time and look at each of the cards in Players A hand?
Or, is a 'quick glance to locate a creature to discard'
Sorry, I know its an silly question, but it has become a hot button issue in my group and I am sick of it. We need outside opinions please.
Player A reveals his entire hand, and B can observe the hand as much as he wants (within reason, of course — he shouldn't take two minutes for this) before choosing the creature. Also, the card in question is most likely Despise.
701.13. Reveal
701.13a To reveal a card, show that card to all players for a brief time. If an effect causes a card to be revealed, it remains revealed for as long as necessary to complete the parts of the effect that card is relevant to. If the cost to cast a spell or activate an ability includes revealing a card, the card remains revealed from the time the spell or ability is announced until it the time it leaves the stack.
701.13b Revealing a card doesn’t cause it to leave the zone it’s in.

Does Player A "hand over the cards" or just turn his hand to "show them"
Is Player B allowed to touch Player A's cards.
(I really am sorry, but they wont shut up unless some one non-group explians)
Oh and that was the card in question!
Y'all just ended a big battle in my group. My guys will argue over anything I swear.
Player B can take a reasonable amount of time to look at them and can even write down what all of the cards are in able to help remember.
