I was wondering... If a player activates Daretti, Scrap Savant's +2 "inverse-looting" ability to discard and subsequently draw two cards, one (or both) of those discarded cards is obsessive search, and they activate chromatic sphere and/or Selvala, Explorer Returned during the resolution of the +2 ability in order to cast the search (let's assume they can filter Selvala's mana through something else to make it blue or spend it as though it were mana of any color), does either or both of those individual card draws technically occur before the two cards which are drawn off Daretti, or do the additional draws (regardless of whether or not they're part of a mana ability) still use the stack and only go on after the walker's ability finishes resolving?
I realize it may seem slightly arbitrary since the player is still drawing presumably the same four cards in the same order (most of the time) regardless of whether it's 1-1-2, 1-2-1, or 2-1-1 (in the case of only one obsessive search among the discarded cards), but I was still wondering how draws are handled here in case they could be influenced somehow by a replacement effect (ie: chains of Mephistopheles, abundance, etc) affect triggers of things which go off when players draw (ie: booby trap, phyrexian tyranny, etc), or if a player was somehow able to topdeck (or "tuckdeck") something on (or in) to that deck between the draws (ie: academy ruins/sensei's divining top, unexpectedly absent, etc), or potentially do something else to interrupt the sequence of the three draw resolutions which could result in a different outcome with regards to which cards get drawn (ie: by filtering out undesired cards with something like Ashnod's cylix).
Anyhow, the best I can come up with myself is a game in the top 8 of a PTQ back during Urza block in which we were starting game 3 with time already expired, so the tiebreaker rule was that whoever had more life after 3 turns would win. And I lost to... healing salve.
You couldn't do what you are proposing. Madness is two abilities, the first is a staic ability that sets up a replacement effect that causes it to be exiled instead of going to the graveyard, but the second part of madness is a triggered ability that allows you to cast it for its madness cost. So you'd exile the obsessive search then the madness ability triggers. However it can't go on the stack until the +2 ability of Daretti resolves so you won't be able to active any mana abilities until after Daretti's ability resolves.
Madness is two abilities. One is a static ability that allows a player to exile a card instead of discarding it. That sets up a trigger ability to cast it from exile for its madness cost.
So the Obsessive Search would be exiled from Daretti's abilty rather than exiled. The rummage ability with finish resolving, and then you resolve the madness triggers. At this point you can activate mana abilities like Sphere and Selvala to pay for it.
Let's simplify things a bit and say madness isn't even a variable in the equation. Couldn't a player still activate those cards' mana abilities during Daretti's +2 ability resolution regardless of whether they intend to spend the mana on anything or even have something to spend it on? If so, and it's fair to assume they can crack the sphere and/or tap Selvala after discarding two cards to Deretti's ability but before drawing the two cards as part of the resolution of that ability, what would happen to the single card draw(s) which occur(s) as part of the mana ability/ies? Is/are it/they drawn before or after the two cards drawn off Deretti?

605.3a. A player may activate an activated mana ability whenever he or she has priority, whenever he or she is casting a spell or activating an ability that requires a mana payment, or whenever a rule or effect asks for a mana payment, even if it's in the middle of casting or resolving a spell or activating or resolving an ability.
When Daretti's ability is resolving, it isn't asking for mana payment, and no player has priority, so you can't activate mana abilities during the ability's resolution.

Thanks in advance!
