My friends and I were playing a two head giant game with shared turns, and then I casted Time Stop. Now the question is does only one player lose the turn or do both players lose their turn, because Time Stops wording is literally "End the turn". This also links to another card, Temporal Manipulation. Unlike other time warp effects does not target. The original text says "You take another turn after this one" but the oracle text says "Take an extra turn after this one". In both cases would this effect the whole team or would it only be one person?
The turn ends. It doesn't just end for one player or the other, the current turn (which is shared by the active team) will end. And if one player on the team gets an extra turn, the entire team gets the extra turn.
805.8. If an effect gives a player an extra turn or adds a phase or step to that player’s turn, that player’s team takes the extra turn, phase, or step. If an effect causes a player to skip a step, phase, or turn, that player’s team does so. If a single effect causes more than one player on the same team to add or skip the same step, phase, or turn, that team adds or skips only that step, phase, or turn. If an effect causes a player to control another player, the controller of that effect controls the affected player’s team.
