Simple question that I am sure will come up with the rise in popularity of these two cards.
Player A activates Varaska the Uneseen's +1 and passes.
Player B swings in with Blood Baron of Vizkopa at Varaska.
Does the Blood Baron's protection from Black prevent it from being destroyed or does it die to the ability?

Vraska the Unseen's ability doesn't target (you can notice it doesn't say "target" on its text), and doesn't deal damage (again, it doesn't say "damage" and she's not a creature dealing combat damage), so the Baron's protection from Black doesn't protect him against being destroyed by Vraska's ability.
Protection prevents Damage, prevents being Enchanted/equipped, being Blocked and being Targeted (DEBT). Vraska's ability doesn't do any of those four things, so it ignores Protection.
1) It cannot be damaged by black or white sources.
2) It cannot be enchanted by black or white Auras, nor can it be equipped by white or black Equipment. (e.g., Godsend or Unscythe, Killer of Kings)
3) It cannot be blocked by black or white creatures.
4) It cannot be targeted by black or white spells or abilites.
In this case, none of the four conditions apply to Vraska the Unseen's +1 ability; she is not targeting or damaging the creature. Therefore, if Blood Baron were to hit her, he would be destroyed.

Blood Baron of Vizkopa has protection from black and white. This means the following:
1) It cannot be damaged by black or white sources.
2) It cannot be enchanted by black or white Auras, nor can it be equipped by white or black Equipment. (e.g., Godsend or Unscythe, Killer of Kings)
3) It cannot be blocked by black or white creatures.
