Hi! Ive been starting playing scapeshift deck in modern and theres a few think im not sure about so let me know if you can help me understand better some ruling related to this deck.
1. Ok so the first thing i want to understand is important, please answer only if youre 100% sure about how priority work:
I tap 4 mana, I play scapeshift, the spell goes on the stack. I pass priority to my opponent. Now what im wondering is: if my opponent doesnt play or want to do anything, does the priority go back to me and then I have a chance to play other spell or add mana in my pool or the scapeshift spell resolve right away?
2. I have prismatic omen in the battlefield and I cast scapeshift sacrificing 6lands, and searching for 4 Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle and any 2 other land (for a total of 6 land). So just to be certain, does each land entering the battlefield cause all the 4 valakut to trigger for 12 damage time 6 = total of 72 damages?
4. My opponent have a blood moon into play, and I cast a prismatic omen. What status have my lands?
5. Whenever I attack with Primeval Titan is the ability trigger as soon as I declare the attacker? Can my opponent respond to the ability? Is there anything special I should know about the ability of the Primeval Titan especially when it is attacking?
Alright I guess that will be enought questions for now! Thanks a lot for taking the time to answer those, its really appreciated.
1. The spell will resolve immediately. Once both players have passed priority without adding something to the stack the topmost spell resolves or the game moves to the next phase if it is empty.
2. Correct.
3. No. Blood Moon overrides Valakut's text and makes it have only the same text as a basic mountain. This is different from Prismatic Omen which grants the mountain subtype in addition to other types.
4. Your non-basic lands will be non-basic lands with all basic land subtypes. Note that if the cards had been played in reverse order all your non basic lands would be only mountains.
5. The ability triggers once he is declared an attacker and yes your opponent can respond. There is nothing really special about his ability.
