1. Cracking Perimeter - was playing vs. Maze's end deck and he cracked for 6 damage at the end of my turn, so I used Golgari Charm in response. The judge said the damage still went through so I'm confused and thought the charm would destroy it first.
2. Ashiok, the Nightmare Weaver - if they take one of your creatures and it dies, does it stay exiled, or does it go in your graveyard? Had two different opponents with two different opinions they were convinced about.
1) The damage would still go through. Once an ability is on the stack it will resolve independant of it's source. So even if the source is removed, it can still use the last known information when the abilities resolve and deal you damage.
2) If a creature put onto the battlefield from ashiok dies, it will be put into its owners graveyard like normal. Nothing about ashiok's ability tells the card to go anywhere else when it dies.
1.) Abilities exist completely separate from their source. Destroying the enchantment doesn't stop the abilities that are already on the stack.
Think of it like this; I throw a grenade at you, then you shoot me. My grenade doesn't just disappear in midair.
2.)If the creature dies, then it will do what any creature that dies does (barring any effects that say otherwise): Go to it's owners graveyard
