It's the same size as the demon created with Promise of Power.
If it were meant to be the other way, PoP would have to read "[...], or put a black Demon creature token with flying and "This creature's power and toughness are each equal to the number of cards in your hand as it enters the battlefield." onto the battlefield."

Because Promise of Power dictates how big the demon is, there is no rules text on the created token. So if you discard your whole hand later, the demon is still however big it was when you made it.
Because of this, the populated token gets to copy the token as is - it only sees an X/X Demon token, and has no clue how it came to be. So even if you have 0 cards in hand as you populate, you still get an exact copy of the Promised Demon.
Thanks to both of you, I understand cards like clone etc. but this one gave me some problems.
Drifting Skies you're right, the wording would have to be like you wrote for it to be another size^^.

If I have a Demon token from Promise of Power and then I populate it with something like Eyes in the Skies how big is the new token?
I assume as bis as my hand when Eyes in the Skies resolves
Of course could also be excactly the size of the old one...
Thanks in advance
