During FNM last night, my opponent attacked with four monsters (barely enough for lethal). After my opponent declares attacks, I declare no blockers.
Does my opponent have an opportunity to activate anything (specifically Bloodrush abilities) upon my declaration of no blockers BUT before the damage resolves?
Yes. The declare blockers step consists of: first, the defending player declares his/her blockers (if any), then the active player receives priority. After an exchange of priority with an empty stack, you move to the next step in the Combat Phase, the combat damage step.
I hate to be a bother, but just so a simpleton such as myself understands...
Once I have shown my intent to attack and I know that my creature is not being blocked, I can then activate Bloodrush for it at that point, right before damage is dealt?
That almost seems a bit cheap, but again I am still learning.
I'm in the process of building a Gruul deck...plenty of Bloodrushers to discard (hopefully buffing up a Ruination Wurm! Oh, you crazy vanilla critters), then Wildwood Rebirth and Serene Remembrance to keep digging them back out...
Also, can I attach more than one Bloodrush ability onto an attacking creature as long as I have the mana for it? (i.e. discard more than one Bloodrush card at one time to buff a single attacking creature)
You will get priority in the Declare Blockers step, after blockers (Regardless of number) are declared and your opponent passes it to you, which he must do before the Combat Damage step.
Activating Bloodrush abilities can be done as long as you have mana for them, and you control an attacking creature.
Instead of making a new thread for this ill just ask in here.
Can i bloodrush, say, rubblehulk, onto an attacking creature, then use an instant speed recover effect to put it back in my hand, then bloodrush it again?
Realistically he should only be unblockable without equipment
Guard 1: There goes a sword floating down the street!
Guard 2: Well, he's unblockable, so ignore it.
Eat your greens kids, omnath does, and it makes him strong....
If you, say, used Noxious Revival on your Rubblehulk after discarding it to Bloodrush, then used Think Twice and still had the mana, you could bloodrush using the same Rubblehulk card again.
Not sure if this is quite what you're going for, though.

Yes, in fact you can do any number of instant speed things at instant speed. even while spells are on the stack
For instance, let's say someone casts doom blade on your creature after blocks are declared, before doom blade resolves, you can bloodrush, Wildwood Rebirth the creature back, bloodrush again, and then fling the creature at your opponent, and doom blade would fizzle.
If I were you I'd do a quick google search for how the stack, instant speed, and priority work, so that you better understand the mechanics
Thanks guys, I knew how the stack worked I just wasn't 100% sure with Bloodrush if I would actually be able to use the same card twice if I were to recover it after the first time.
Another odd Bloodrush question: If I were to somehow give a bloodrush card Madness, could I then cast the bloodrush creature after using the bloodrush ability? I'm not sure if there's a card that gives madness to cards in hand, but it's another question I was curious about.

There are currently no cards that can grant madness to cards in your hand that don't already have madness. If such a card did exist, though, yes, you'd be able to cast the relevant card for its madness cost after activating its bloodrush ability. Madness cares only that you're discarding the card and not why you're discarding it.

It still feels strange and awkward to me to play it like that, but...if them's the rules then that's how it shall be.
