The argument involves Vorniclex, Voice of Hunger and Orzhov Basilica. He says that since his land taps for WB he should be able to add two mana to his pool. Can someone show the ruling that will make him shut up?

as already stated above he will only get 1 additional mana. If Vorniclex doubled mana it would be worded similarly to Mana Reflection. If a card doubles mana produced, it says so. If a card only adds an additional mana, it says so. Vorniclex doesn't say "double". Even though the land taps for 2 mana, Vorniclex doesn't add 2 mana
So by your friend's logic, rupture spire + vorinclex = tap, add WURGB to your mana pool. Sounds fair.
No, I'm pretty sure that's not how he's thinking. He's saying that since the land produces two mana, he gets two extra mana (which he doesn't).

IIW for any CCC (pick the highest one in the list):
A high-costed equipment (I want it big, but make sure it isn't nutso-broken with Stoneforge. So a high equip cost or a benefit for casting or something)
A Squirrel Wizard
A G?? (1-3 colors, including green) legendary creature with its main strat based on not attacking
Please use cardtags in the future. ~parinoid
Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger
Orzhov Basilica
Vorinclex states:
Whenever you tap a land for mana, add one mana to your mana pool of any type that land produced.
Bolded part relevant. He would only get to add one additional mana. So three in total.
Thanks to Heroes of the Plane for the awesome Sig.
