My question is two-fold; one of timing, and one of rules.
Hypothetical situation:
It is my opponent's 2nd main phase. In play I have Nest Invader, and 4 Eldrazi Spawn tokens, courtesy of Awakening Zone, and an untapped Forest. My opponent casts Pyroclasm (or Day of Judgment, either work for this example).
I sacrifice three of the tokens for mana in response, and tap my Forest, with the intent of casting Fresh Meat after the wrath effect resolves. Do I simply announce I'm casting it after the spell resolves, or do I never get priority to cast my instant? Does my opponent get a chance to say his turn is over before I can cast it after the wrath goes off, i.e. going to his end phase and thus making my mana pool empty? Does my mana pool even empty between my opponent's main and end phase? Also, will I get 5 3/3 Golem tokens, or just 1? I believe it to be 5 because its my understanding that token creatures will hit the graveyard and THEN go poof, but I want to make sure I'm right before I take my brew to FNM.
Thanks for your help!

Mr. Fu, your leaving of MTGnews' humor forum killed it. KILLLED IT!
Neither one, actually. You just sac them for the mana, and let the thing resolve. He'll have to pass priority to you to move to a new step/phase, he can't just end the turn without you getting a chance to cast your Fresh Meat. You'll get a chance to use your mana in that step before he can leave it.
You'll get your 5 3/3 BEAST tokens for your exact thinking; that's why it doesn't say "nontoken" like Caller of the Claw
Each player has to pass priority between steeps and phases, so you have the chance to cast your spell when he anounces he wants to move to the end phase... and you get 5 tokens since tokens hit the graveyard and then dissapear.
your opponent can never just say his turn is over and deny you priority. there is no realtime element in magic. its not a race to say "i'm casting ..." faster then the other guy can say "turn is over". a phase only ends after both players pass priority. you always have a chance to cast an instant after the active player passes his priority. the phase only changes if you also pass.
