Hey, all. So, with the release of Chandra's Spitfire, I've been looking into making a more-valid Raid Bombardment deck. But, here's my question: How immediate is declaring attackers? So, if I have four Spitfires on the field, could I potentially attack with all four, triggering Bombardment four times, dealing 4 damage and raising each Spitfire +12/+0? Or, does each Bombardment resolve before I can declare the next attacker? So, would the first attack trigger the Bombardment, deal 1 damage, then give each Spitfire +3/+0, meaning any subsequent attacks wouldn't trigger Bombardment?
Raid Bombardment will be triggered four times, yes.
Raid bombardment does not trigger until after you declare attackers, and all four spitfires will still have one power at this point, so raid bombardment will deal one damage, four times.
So, basically, declaring attackers is instantaneous? No instant-speed abilities or spells can interrupt the declaration of attackers (even from the active player)?
Declaring attackers is the first thing that happens in the declare attackers step. It's a game action, and doesn't use the stack.

Back in my day, Wrath of God didn't kill Black Knight and that's the way we liked it. We also had to pay mana for our 1/1s. Kids and your Memnites. Get off my lawn!
Alright. Though that raises another question, then: When a player enters Battle Step, is that step immediately followed by the Declare Attackers Step? If so, then wouldn't it be impossible for any responses to be cast before attackers are declared? Or is there a window of opportunity in the Battle Step right before it moves to Declare Attackers Step?
Assuming you are the player controlling the Chandra's Spitfires etc, it should work out something like this:
You have 4 Chandra's Spitfires and a Raid Bombardment in play, you announce that you are going to your attack step and pass priority, your opponent will also be able to cast instants, use activated abilities, or pass priority.
You declare that you are attacking with all 4 Chandra's Spitfires, which will cause Raid Bombardment to trigger its ability which will go on the stack, and you pass priority. Your opponent will be able to cast instants, use activated abilities, or pass priority.
At this point your Chandra's Spitfires do not have their +3/0 bonuses yet. Your opponent will have an opportunity to do something while the Raid Bombardment triggers are on the stack and you will be able to do something between each resolution of each ability as well. Assuming no one does anything during this process it should happen like this:
4 Raid Bombardment triggers go on the stack,
1 of those triggers resolves dealing 1 damage to your opponent and 4 Chandra's Spitfire +3/0 triggers go on the stack (one for each creature)
The 4 Chandra's Spitfire triggers will resolve 1 at a time in the order you ordered them. (At this point they will all have 1 +3/0 bonus).
The 2nd Raid Bombardment trigger will resolve dealing another 1 point of damage and 4 more Chandra's Spitfire triggers will go on the stack. Which will resolve 1 at a time. (At this point they will have 2 +3/0 bonuses).
The 3rd Raid Bombardment trigger will resolve dealing another 1 point of damage and 4 more Chandra's Spitfire triggers will go on the stack. Which will resolve 1 at a time. (At this point they will have 3 +3/0 bonuses).
The 4th Raid Bombardment trigger will resolve dealing another 1 point of damage and 4 more Chandra's Spitfire triggers will go on the stack. Which will resolve 1 at a time. (At this point they will have 4 +3/0 bonuses).
You would get priority after the resolution of each trigger and after passing priority your opponent would get priority. After he passes back each new trigger will resolve etc. Once this whole process is over you will go to the Declare Blockers Step and you would still be able to cast more instants or use activated abilities which could possibly put more Chandra's Spitfire triggers on the stack etc etc.
I may have missed something but that is more or less what will go on, and it can be annoying on MTGO sometimes because you see it all happen and have to click through all of it.

beginning of combat step
declare attackers step
declare blockers step
combat damage step
end of combat step
Both players will receive priority in all five of those steps.
