No, the effect does not use the stack it is a replacment effect and it is treated as a copy of the creature as soon as you cast it.
No, it is not. viperesque is correct.
Its ability is a static ability which generates a replacement effect modifying how it enters the battlefield.
603.6e. Some permanents have text that reads "[This permanent] enters the battlefield with . . . ," "As [this permanent] enters the battlefield . . . ," "[This permanent] enters the battlefield as . . . ," or "[This permanent] enters the battlefield tapped." Such text is a static ability-not a triggered ability-whose effect occurs as part of the event that puts the permanent onto the battlefield.
Such a replacement ability does not apply until the object would enter the battlefield, which is when the permanent spell is resolving, not when it is cast.
Let me get one thing straight with you. When Condor and an official ruling disagree, 50% of the time the official ruling gets reversed later. The other 50% of the time, the rules get clarified/changed to make the ruling right when it really wasn't before.

Yes, it is a replacement effect. Yes, that doesn't use the stack. However, it is a replacement effect modifying how Clone enters the battlefield, and as such will not be applied until it does so.
It would be helpful if someone else could back me up here. (EDIT: thanks triangle)
It doesn't get a counter, because when Clone is on the stack its creature type is what's printed on it. When it resolves and enters the battlefield, then it becomes a copy of another creature.

Everyone knows that good luck and good game are such insincere terms that any man who does not connect his right hook with the offender's jaw on the very utterance of such a phrase is no man I would consider as such.

Assuming you named Zombie for the Door, Rite of Replication is not a Zombie spell, so no counters.
