I believe that part of the spell resolving is putting it in the graveyard. So, if the Nameless Inversion in the graveyard adds either 'Instant' or 'Tribal' to the types that are in the graveyard, then the Tarmogoyf will survive as a 6/1 until end of turn.
Or as a 7/2, until end of turn, if the Inversion added both 'Instant' and 'Tribal' to the types in the graveyard.
At the beginning of the next turn, the Tarmogoyf will return to base stats of 3/4 or 4/5 - if no other card types were put into the graveyard.
It depends on the card types in the graveyard. If another Tribal card and another Instant card are in the graveyard already, the Tarmogoyf won't get any boosts because there are no new card types to boost it; it dies resultantly as a 5/0.
However, if there isn't a tribal and/or instant card in any graveyard, the boost kicks in because, as stated above, the final part of a spell's resolution is putting the card in the graveyard. At that point, Tarmogoyf's characteristic-defining ability (CDA) sees the card type and gets a boost, thereby surviving (as a 6/1 or 7/2, dependently).

Awesome avatar, by the way. "These rulings would be great if it wasn't for all the ****ing questions." -Jack It will return to its base stats at end of turn, not the beginning of the next turn.
