This may seem like a strange question but I am planning on playing physical magic for the first time in a while at Pro Tour: San Diego. I will be playing Threshold and as I was playing around with it today in the real world, I began to wonder what the proper technique for scrying is.
If I want to look at my hand while scrying, I can do so, yes? I am almost sure that is yes, but if so, can I look at my hand as I look at the top two cards of my deck? If so, can I have them in the same hand? I am just wondering if there is any ruling on how I can hold my cards for scrying. I know it may sound odd, I just don't want to be called on something odd. Thanks for any assistance you guys provide.
Media is not making me steal. But in a way is like the story of the very hot girl with the short skirt teasing the old sick guy with a history of rape.
The rule is that once a card touches your hand (of cards), it becomes a part of your hand. Obviously, if you're scrying, you don't want this to happen. So, at the bare minimum, avoid this.
By the rules, there is no reason for your opponent to know whether or how many cards go to the top or bottom of the library, or in what order you place them.
However, your opponent does obviously have to check that you put cards *only* to the top or bottom of the library.
What is the best way to meet the requirement while keeping secret as much information as possible?

I don't see why it would matter, but if it, for whatever reason did, maybe you could put up a barrier preventing your opponent from seeing and then having a judge observe that you did the correct action?
Again though, i dont see why that much trouble would be nessecary...

That is not hidden information. It is just like the number of cards in your hand: it is publically observable, so you can't hide when it chnages.
The locations the cards end up in is most definitely public information. You don't get to keep it a secret that you scry'd two cards to the bottom, or two to the top, or whatever; in fact, it's best to say something like "one on top, one on bottom" just so there's no confusion. However, you don't need to say something like "back on top in the same order" -- the order you place the cards is hidden, so you can shuffle the cards you're looking at around before you make your decision with no penalty.

So.... they do know how many went to the bottom (which is the same as knowing how many went to the top), but they don't know what order they are placed there?
Hmm.
