If you have Ratchet, Field Medic in play and you get several times lifelink from multiple creatures you have (say 10 lifelink creatures in total), does it trigger 10 times ?
And then you get to convert it once into the backside (and get an artifact back tapped), and the other 9 triggers will then convert it back to the front ? (or does anything prevent that, as the front trigger does not have the "once a turn" restriction the backside has).
So every time it converts from the front to the back, you still have a trigger for it to convert back and forth, or does the "When you do" part also work to trigger a return an artifact when it goes from the backside to the front in that case ? (as they are still waiting to resolve)
In that example, the backside would never trigger as no artifact goes to the graveyard.
Does this work or anything prevent it from converting multiple times from its front side triggers ?
Yes you will get 10 triggers, however due to the wording stating the name of the side in the effect, it wont keep transforming back and forth from each side.
The best that you can hope for is 2 transformations into the second side.
it would resolve something like this:
10x lifegain instances causes 10 triggers from Ratchet, Field Medic. The first resolves and you convert Ratchet into Ratchet, Rescue Racer and then return an artifact with mana value less than or equal to the life gained.
Then you sacrifice any artifact (by any means you may have access too) while the remaining 9 ratchet triggers are still on the stack.
This then triggers Ratchet, Rescue Racer and you convert it back to Ratchet, Field Medic. This then allows you to resolve the next of the 9 remaining triggers, to convert and return an artifact.
This time however even if you sacrifice an artifact, Ratchet, Rescue Racer cannot convert due to the once per turn clause, meaning that the remaining 8 triggers for Ratchet, Field Medic fizzle as you currently have no permanent with that name on your battlefield.
I think if you were then able to flicker Ratchet, Rescue Racer to return it back to Ratchet, Field Medic then you may be able to continue, however i dont know if the 8 remaining triggers fizzle due to it not being the same instance of the permanent. But may be a way to continue the triggers.

That's just not true.
This is the only rule that needs to be quoted:
701.28f If an activated or triggered ability of a permanent that isn’t a delayed triggered ability of that permanent tries to transform it, the permanent does so only if it hasn’t transformed or converted since the ability was put onto the stack. If a delayed triggered ability of a permanent tries to transform that permanent, the permanent does so only if it hasn’t transformed or converted since that delayed triggered ability was created. In both cases, if the permanent has already transformed or converted, an instruction to do either is ignored.
A bunch of those triggers that get created back to back, will only be able to transform the permanent at most once.

Its convert regardless, or does anything prevent the backside to convert back to the front with the trigger from the lifegain of the front ?
