I have an illusion on the battlefield, that dies whenever it gets targeted by a spell or ability, say Dream Strix, and I have Strovald, Frost Giant Jarl out. My opponent casts Terror on my Dream Strix. Am I right that I get to keep my Illusiom?
You would be wrong. Ward says that unless the cost is paid the spell will be countered, but the triggered ability of Dream Strix happens when the spell is cast so whether or not the spell that caused the trigger resolves or not doesn't matter. In fact the creature will always be sacrificed before the spell resolves so if there was only a single target Lightning Helix the spell will be countered for lack of targets and none of its effects will resolve.

The Strix becomes the target of Terror when it is cast. It becomes the target necessarily in order for Terror to *be* cast. Strovald concerns only things that happen after that moment, so, the Strix still triggers, and that ability has no conditions: You will sacrifice the Bird.
