You get an emblem with "Mountains you control have ‘Tap: This land deals 1 damage to any target
Let's say I already have the emblem and my next turn comes up. I tap two red mountains to cast a random red creature. Since those two mountains just became tapped while casting that card, does that also send the damage to the target simultaneously? Or is it an either/or thing (meaning if I tap for damage, that mana can not be used for casting now)?
Anyway, Koth's emblem only adds an extra activated ability to those Mountains, not a triggered ability. Thus you have to decide to tap the land for mana or for damage, you don't get to do both, unless you find a way to untap the land.
Thanks, could have sworn I started it in the rules section, but I guess I misfired. Makes sense that the lands tapped can't also be used for casting. But i figured I'd make sure (since it would have been nice to do damage while also throwing a creature card out).
