Hi,

I was searching around on commanders spellbook for a way to go infinite with Tergrid's Lantern and I found the Strionic Resonator + Sands of Time combo. As I read how the combo works on spellbook, it claims I can activate the resonator to copy Sands of Times trigger "when any player goes to their upkeep". I'm a little confused. The way I read it, if I copy the trigger on an opponents turn, won't it just untap/tap their stuff and not mine?

Can I go infinite with Tergrid's Lantern on an opponents upkeep or just my own?

Indeed, Sands of Time's triggered ability doesn't contain "you", but rather "each player" or "that player" (C.R. 108.1). Thus, in general, the ability refers to the player whose upkeep it is, not necessarily to the ability's controller (compare Sands of Time with Awakening and Bitterblossom; see also Maralen of the Mornsong.)

Thus the combo won't work on any upkeep other than your own.
