Hi I have a question.
If I cast allure of the unknown, is it possible to end my turn with Obeka, Brute Chronologist after getting my 5 cards, but before my opponent can resolve his "free" spell from my allure?
I thought it would be possible to do this because my allure finishes first (because it is already resolving) and my opponents spell is still on the stack after the allure finishes resolving.
Can someone clarify?
Using card tags is mandatory in the Magic Rulings forum. Please check your private messages to learn how to use them. I've added them for this post.

Any spell cast by a player uses the Stack. If the opponent casts a card selected with Allure of the Unknown, you have a chance to respond to that spell with spells or abilities. You can activate Obeka.

But does that mean that I have the 5 cards from Allure of the Unknown already in hand and I can end the turn before my opponents 'free' spell resolves? Or will I also not get my cards while ending the turn?
Gatherer mentions: "If your opponent wishes to cast the card, they do so as part of the resolution of Allure of the Unknown."
So I'm still somewhat confused.
You resolve all of Allure first, so you get the 5 cards and your opponent gets a choice of casting the other. But by the time they would actually cast the spell, Allure has completely resolved and is off the stack, so their "stolen" spell is the only thing left. That's when you can use Obeka's ability and clear the stack.

Allure of the Unknown allows them to cast their spell during Allure's resolution, but their spell doesn't resolve immediately; after Allure is done resolving, their spell is on the stack, and you can exile it by ending the turn.

I'm a former judge (lapsed), who keeps up to date on rules and policy. Keep in mind that judges' answers aren't necessarily more valid than those of people who aren't judges; what matters is we can quote the rules to back up our answers. When in doubt, ask for such quotes.
