Say I have Lazav, the Multifarious on the battlefield with Underworld Sentinel and Tymaret, Chosen From Death in my graveyard. I make Lazav a copy of Tymaret, activating Tymaret's ability to exile two permanents from graveyards. Next, I make Lazav a copy of Underworld Sentinel. If Lazav dies as Underworld Sentinel, will the permanents exiled with Tymaret/Lazav's ability be put on to the battlefield?
My understanding is that because Lazav specifies that his name remains Lazav, the Multifarious, he would now technically read: "When [Lazav, the Multifarious] dies, put all cards exiled with it onto the battlefield." To me, this implies that the cards don't need to be exiled specifically with Sentinel(Lazav)'s first ability to be put onto the battlefield, just with Lazav (in contrast to something like Soulflayer, which specifies that the cards must be exiled with the delve ability).
If this does work with Tymaret, could this apply to cards exiled as a result of Lazav taking damage as a copy of Gloom Surgeon? Dealing damage as a copy of Benthic Infiltrator? Paying a cost as a copy of Psychatog?
No, that doesn't work. Underworld Sentinel has what's called linked abilities, only the cards exiled with the first ability will be affected by its second ability. Exiled cards with that permanent by any other means will not be affected by that ability. This is true for a Lazav-copy of it as well.
607.1 An object may have two abilities printed on it such that one of them causes actions to be taken or objects or players to be affected and the other one directly refers to those actions, objects, or players. If so, these two abilities are linked: the second refers only to actions that were taken or objects or players that were affected by the first, and not by any other ability.

607.2 There are different kinds of linked abilities.
607.2a If an object has an activated or triggered ability printed on it that instructs a player to exile one or more cards and an ability printed on it that refers either to “the exiled cards” or to cards “exiled with [this object],” these abilities are linked. The second ability refers only to cards in the exile zone that were put there as a result of an instruction to exile them in the first ability.

Thanks for any help.
