Hello all - wanting to verify something regarding responding to General Kudro of Dranniths triggered ability, in the scenario where a human enters play under Kudros control, and then an opponents creature is killed.
I recall observing this on mtgo playback on a YouTube video, but a friend does not agree with it.
Tldr - if Kudro is in play, and a human enters play triggering his exile ability, would the owner of Kudro be able to retain priority and then use removal (such as activating Kudro) on an opponents creature, and then exiling that same creature with that pending ability?
Once Kudro "or another Human enters the battlefield under your control", Kudro's triggered ability will trigger. After that, however, the ability will go on the stack and a "card [in] an opponent's graveyard" has to be targeted, if possible, right then and there, before players get priority to activate abilities such as Kudro's last ability (C.R. 117.5, 603.3d, 601.2c). If there is no such card, the triggered ability will be removed from the stack and do nothing (C.R. 603.3d). See also this thread and this thread.
Kudro's triggered ability targets the card to be exiled. Thus the choice must be made when the ability is put on the stack. Cards that enter an opponent's graveyard later will not be a valid choice as target.

Actually, one can achieve what you describe. All one needs is to respond earlier.
The trick is to respond, not to Kudro's ability, but rather to respond before the human enters play.
If you kill some annoying creature while the human creature is about to resolve and enter play, then, when Kudro actually triggers, the annoying creature, being in the grave, is indeed a valid target for Kudro.
