So I had this position earlier in draft, where I could target a legendary creature on my own board with Mythos of Illuna, get a beneficial death trigger and a beneficial fight. However I did not want to risk the play due to me being unsure of the ordering what goes on the stack first.
In other words, if you target a legendary creature with Mythos of Illuna, and the spell resolves. What happens first?
- Does the fight effect go onto the stack, after i keep the token and the legendary goes to the graveyard?
- Do you have to choose which legendary creature to keep and does it go to the graveyard, and therefor triggering possible death triggers first?
- Do they both happen at the same time, allowing me to order both effects on the stack?
For example if i target Anax, Hardened in the Forge with Mythos of Illuna after i put the original Anax in the graveyard will I be able to choose to put the satyr tokens and fight effect on the stack, or do they have a pre-determined order?
Thanks for any clear answers regarding this, most of the time I can figure out rulings by myself, but this is quite a rare situation. I expect it is the last option.

The Internet was a revelation to me, I never imagined there are so many idiots on this planet.
The legend rule is a state based action and those are checked right before a player would get priority, even before any triggers waiting to be put on the stack are put there. So the duplicate legendary permanents are dealt with before you can even choose a target for the fight (you do that when putting the trigger on the stack). If the death of the legendary permanent causes a "dies" trigger, it joins the group of waiting triggers, so when the SBA checks are finished, it is among the triggers you can order as you see fit, so have it happen before or after the fight trigger. (Though the actual fight will only happen, if the legendary creature is still around to do the deed.)
So in short, first the ETB ability triggers, then the legendary creature dies, then you put the dies trigger and ETB trigger on the stack in the order of your choosing.
