I know its probably a dumb question, but i need to know.
I understand that Rayami, First of the Fallen first ability reads "If a nontoken creature would die, exile that card with a blood counter on it instead". So he exiles creatures that would otherwise die (go from the battlefield to the graveyard). When does the ability work? If someone, for example, Murder him, does he see he would die and gets exiled instead? The text doesn't say other creatures, so he should be able to be affected by his own ability
On the other hand, what about board wipes? Someone cast Damnation, does he see that the other creatures are going to die and exile then? And if he sees then, why wouldn't he see hinself going to die?
Yes, Raya will see anything that dies simultaneously, including himself. Everyone gets exiled.
However, Raya being in exile himself, his second ability becomes inactive. (and his first too, of course)
If another Rayami is played (or if the same is brought back on the field), all exiled-blooded creatures will count for ability-gaining,
regardless of 'which' Rayami exiled them.
