Hi guys, how does Double Strike work with elimination? Example: Yidris hits double strike on someone and they will die to commander damage on strike 1. Does he get the second hit?

Does the player "get the second hit"? No, since the player will have left the game in the meantime (assuming the game uses the traditional Commander variant). Does Yidris "get the second hit"? It depends.
Generally, a creature with double strike assigns combat damage in two different combat damage steps in the same combat phase (C.R. 702.4b, 510.1, 510.2), so that Yidris's triggered ability will trigger twice if that damage is dealt each time to a player.
Assume Yidris is a commander and somehow has double strike, and this is a traditional Commander variant game. If Yidris deals combat damage to a player in the first combat damage step, Yidris's triggered ability will trigger (C.R. 603.2), then if that player's life total is 0 or Yidris has dealt 21 or more combat damage to that player over the course of the game, that player will lose the game (and therefore leave the game immediately) and the game may or may not end depending on the circumstances (C.R. 510.3, 116.5, 704.5a, 903.10a, 104.5, 104.1, 104.2a, 104.2c, 104.4a). And this happens before the second combat damage step will even happen, and even before the Yidris ability will even go on the stack (C.R. 116.5, 702.4b; C.R. 510.3, especially C.R. 510.3a, applies here after combat damage is dealt), let alone get to resolve.
Remember that all double strike does is give a combat phase two combat damage steps rather than one (and restrict which creatures assign combat damage during those steps) (C.R. 702.4b). Double strike doesn't mean—
that a creature with that ability assigns twice its power in combat damage (see also this thread), or
that that creature assigns and deals combat damage, then assigns and deals combat damage again, with nothing in between.
Note also that Commander is a variant that's independent of the multiplayer variants and options in effect in the game; nothing in the rules for that variant (under C.R. 903) explicitly precludes applying those rules to two-player games (C.R. 903.2).
