Can I attach an aura to an opponent’s creature if it has shroud/hexproof, and I’n NOT casting it? (I think 304.f is the right rule).
Example:
I’m running Zur the Enchanter, and my opponent has a creature with Lightning Greaves. If I cheat for an aura like Frogify, could the equipped creature become a 1/1 frog with no effects.
Card tags fixed. Double brackets like you used don't work here. You need to type [c] to the left and [/c]to the right of the card name. -MadMage
If you put an Aura card onto the battlefield with Zur, you choose an object or player the Aura could enchant if possible (this is not the same as targeting that object or player, however, so that shroud and hexproof don't matter) (C.R. 303.4f, 702.11, 702.18). If there is no such object or player, then the Aura card remains in your library (C.R. 303.4g).
An Aura object can have a target only while it's on the stack as a spell (C.R. 115.1b, 112.1), not while it's anywhere else, including on the battlefield or in a player's library. An Aura with enchant creature, such as Frogify, can enchant a creature even if that creature has shroud or hexproof (review C.R. 702.11, 702.18).

Yes, an Aura entering play by other means than casting will bypass targetting restriction (Shroud & Hexproof), altough it cannot bypass Protection.
The correct rule number is 303.4f.
