Cavalier of Night is said to have a reflexive triggered ability. Does this mean it is triggered separately from the ETB and choosing to sacrifice a creature? For example, if I had Dictate of Erebos on the battlefield, then played my Cavalier of Night choosing to sacrifice another creature, do both abilities trigger at the same time allowing me to order them on the stack? Or is Cavalier's ability a single instance, allowing my opponent to sacrifice the creature I targeted to destroy?
They do trigger at the same time, allowing you to order them upon on the Stack. Your opponent can respond to the reflexive trigger in Cavalier of Night, which must have its target chosen as you put it on the Stack.
A reflexive trigger is embedded inside another instruction, and will trigger only on a very specific thing happening described in that instruction. Other than that, it is handled as if it were a normal triggered ability - with the text of whatever part comes after the "when you do" until the next paragraph break.

The one thing about which my previous post equivocates, is that the reflexive ability doesn't trigger based on being the text of a permanent. It triggers from being the text of the instruction of the ability that's resolving. If Cavalier died before its ability resolved, the reflexive ability could trigger.
So in that sense, it's like the instruction of the outer ability tells you "trigger this next ability".
