If I have Repercussion in play and I cast Pyroclasm and my opponent responds by returning his creatures to his hand (e.g. Evacuation) are his creatures still considered to have been damaged thereby triggering Repercussion? I would think not, but wanted to confirm.
No. A creature card that's not on the battlefield when a spell or ability that damages creatures resolves simply can't be dealt damage, a primary reason being that "creature" without qualification refers to something on the battlefield.

When Pyroclasm resolves, it only damages creatures, and Evacuation removed all evidence of the creatures that it moved off the battlefield.
