When using Venser, The Sojourner and Wellspring can I flicker the enchantment keeping an opponents land? Also, how does the begining of end step and loose control of land at end of turn work? Thanks.
Wellspring's Oracle text should probably make that clearer:
"When Wellspring enters the battlefield, gain control of enchanted land until end of turn.
At the beginning of your upkeep, untap enchanted land. You gain control of that land until end of turn."
If you flicker Wellspring and re-attach it to another land, you'll gain control of that second land. However, both lands will go back to their previous controller at the end of the turn.
Edit after re-reading Venser: Wellspring will return and attach to a land in your end step, but since that's before the cleanup step when "end of turn" effects end, you aren't going to have that land for very long.
Then, at the beginning of your next upkeep, only the currently enchanted land will come under your control.
It says at the end of each of your turns loose control of enchanted land but the land will no long be enchanted so why does the effect continue?
Because that is not what the card says. That is what is printed on the card, but every card functions off of their Oracle Text which can be found on the Gatherer. Wellsprings oracle text is
When Wellspring enters the battlefield, gain control of enchanted land until end of turn.
At the beginning of your upkeep, untap enchanted land. You gain control of that land until end of turn.
As you can see the first gain control is an enter the battlefield ability that lasts until end of turn. So there is no longer any kind of possible combo.
Like so many older cards (and some not so old) Wellspring has had its text 'revamped' to conform to newer rules and templates. Players are expected to play cards according to the latest Gatherer texts.
"When Wellspring enters the battlefield, gain control of enchanted land until end of turn.
At the beginning of your upkeep, untap enchanted land. You gain control of that land until end of turn."
