I'm curious about what happens in the following scenario:
I'm playing Dregde in Modern at FNM.
On my turn I untap, pass through upkeep and then dredge a Life from the Loam.
I mill Mountain, Narcomoeba, Prized Amalgam.
I point to the Narcomoeba, say "trigger" and my opponent passes. I put it on the battlefield.
I then point to the Prized Amalgam and say "delayed trigger".
Then I pass the turn to my opponent (missing the Amalgam at end step).
In his upkeep, I notice that I missed the Amalgam.
What happens?
The main point I am curious about, is what happens when I announce that Amalgam has a delayed trigger, but then forget about it on end step.
In sanctioned tournaments in general, Prized Amalgam's delayed triggered ability is forgotten "once the player takes an action past the point where the triggered ability would have an observable impact on the game" (M.T.R. 4.5).
If this scenario occurs in a sanctioned game at Competitive or Professional rules enforcement level, and if you "t[ook] any game actions ... that c[ould] be taken only after" Prized Amalgam's delayed triggered ability "should have resolved" (since that ability "causes a change in the visible game state"), then a judge may assess an infraction against you, especially if they "intend to issue a Warning" or suspect the ability is intentionally forgotten (I.P.G. 2.1).
In Comp REL Peter is right; sucks to be you, you missed it, no Amalgam for you. But at FNM, unless your opponent is a dick, they should let you put Amalgam on the battlefield especially since it’s in the upkeep. FNM is a casual for fun environment, at least it’s suppose to be.
In sanctioned tournaments at Regular rules enforcement level, if a triggered ability with no optional effects (such as Prized Amalgam's delayed triggered ability) (see also C.R. 603.5) is forgotten, and a judge is called, a judge will generally "put the ability on the stack unless [they] think it would be too disruptive [and unless] significant decisions have been made based on the effect not happening" (J.A.R., "Common Issues").

Thanks in advance.
