Hey guys just wanted to know if I play Traverse the Outlands does this allow me to get Dual shock lands like Breeding Pool and Overgrown Tomb ? Do those cards come under basic lands due to having the basic sub types? I appreciate the help.
A "basic land car[d]" is a land card with the supertype "basic" (C.R. 305.8, 205.4a), not necessarily one with a basic land type (compare Traverse the Outlands with Perilous Forays). For example, Snow-Covered Forest (C.R. 108.1) and Wastes are basic land cards.
No you are not allowed to get Breeding Pool or any other dual land with Traverse the Outlands.
Having a basic land subtype (such as Plains, Island, etc) does not make a land a basic. In order to be a basic land, it must have the supertype Basic.
Ahh damn I knew it was too good to be true! Thank you for the help!

In particular, making a separate thank you post to each person who answered you doesn't work too well, because we can't see the link between your post and theirs. So it's generally better to thank everyone in a single post.

Hope that helps.
