Before anyone says it, I know cards that can't transform already are incapable of doing so if somehow granted the ability. That isn't what I'm asking about here.
Golden Guardian's ability states that, upon dying post-activation, Golden Guardian returns to the battlefield transformed. Say I exiled a Golden Guardian with Myr Welder, and in response to a spell/ability/damage destroying my Welder I used the imprinted Golden Guardian ability. Would the Myr return, despite not being able to transform, or does rule 711.5 negate the delayed trigger entirely?
