Trostani Discordant states that all players gain control of creatures they own at the beginning of each end step. Crafty Cutpurse states that if a token would be made under an opponents control then it is created under your control instead. I am fairly certain that the tokens created under your control are owned by "you". So in the example of a play where an opponent plays Trostani and another player flashes in crafty cutpurse they obtain the 2 tokens and they are not taken at the end of the turn correct?
Under what is now C.R. 111.2, the "player who creates a token is its owner", even if that token enters the battlefield under another player's control. Before Core Set 2019, the token's owner was the player under whose control the token entered the battlefield. See also this thread.
EDIT (Nov. 11, 2021): One rule was renumbered in the meantime.
So to clarify Trostani COULD take control of the tokens at end of turn?
The player who created the tokens with Trostani, and thus is the owner of those tokens (C.R. 111.2), will gain control of those tokens "at the beginning of [the] end step" referred to, even if those tokens entered the battlefield under another player's control.

Yes, if Trostani's controller creates tokens under an opponent's control because of that opponent's Crafty Cutpurse, those tokens are still owned by the Trostani player, and Trostani's last ability will give control of those tokens to them.

I'm a former judge (lapsed), who keeps up to date on rules and policy. Keep in mind that judges' answers aren't necessarily more valid than those of people who aren't judges; what matters is we can quote the rules to back up our answers. When in doubt, ask for such quotes.
However, note that effects like Cutpurse or Gather Specimens are the only way one player can be the owner of a token that enters under another player's control. All cards with effects that put tokens into play under an opponent's control are either printed with text or errataed to say that that player is the one doing the creating (and is thus the owner of the token). Forbidden Orchard, Akroan Horse, Varchild, Betrayer of Kjeldor, Hunted Phantasm, etc.
110.5a The player who creates a token is its owner. The token enters the battlefield under that player’s control.
